Composition on Anti-Epidemic Mobile Toilets

Admin October 19, 2026

Anti-epidemic mobile toilets are crucial facilities that ensure basic living needs during special times, embodying the hard work and selfless dedication of countless individuals.

The Perseverance and Dedication of Sanitation Workers

The sanitation workers from Shanghai Pudong Sanxing Environmental Sanitation Co., Ltd.坚守岗位 (remained at their posts) for nearly three months during the spread of the epidemic. They organized frontline employees into four teams responsible for transportation, disinfection, fecal extraction, and emergency support. Under lockdown conditions, each team practiced closed management with minimal contact, carrying out epidemic prevention and support work for over two months. They were always on standby, ready to respond at any time of day or night, even during meals. After completing emergency support tasks, they also had to disinfect newly arrived equipment, often getting only four to five hours of sleep per day. It was their perseverance and dedication that ensured the normal operation of emergency mobile toilets at all isolation wards and transfer points in the Pudong New Area.

Challenges and Solutions in Fangcang Shelter Cleaning

The cleaning work at the Minhang Gymnasium Fangcang shelter posed significant challenges, with 40 mobile toilets designated for 700 positive cases. Drainage was managed through independent pipelines, and the mobile single-person toilets required manual water filling, resulting in a tremendous workload. Initially, difficulties in using the toilets became a source of frustration for the shelter's occupants. Wu Ping, the head of the cleaning team, addressed the issue by contacting various parties, accurately reporting the situation, and coordinating efforts to find a solution. Currently, four dedicated personnel are responsible for the 40 toilets, increasing the frequency of water filling and enhancing cleaning and infection control measures, which have received positive feedback from the patients. This demonstrates the cleaning staff's proactive approach and problem-solving abilities in the face of difficulties.

Collective Efforts from All Sectors of Society

To ensure the safety of frontline medical staff, Nanyang First People's Hospital decided to build independent restrooms for medical personnel. Despite the challenges of the Spring Festival holiday and the severity of the epidemic, the head of the logistics department communicated with various parties. Nanyang Jinguang Company donated mobile toilets free of charge, and Nanyang Metal Recycling Company provided transportation services at no cost. After overnight installation and testing by multiple parties, the mobile restrooms were successfully put into use. This showcases the spirit of collective effort from all sectors of society in fighting the epidemic, with everyone working together to contribute to the anti-epidemic efforts.
