Angle Steel Reinforced Prefabricated Panel House
There are mainly two common methods for reinforcing prefabricated panel houses with angle steel:

The first method involves adding angle steel and steel beams along the four edges of the prefabricated panels: Installing angle steel along the four edges of the prefabricated panels can effectively increase their support points, further enhancing the load-bearing capacity of the house. For example, installing section steel along the four edges of the prefabricated panels can transform the original four-edge support into an eight-edge support. This change makes the force distribution more uniform and reasonable when the prefabricated panels are under load, thereby easily increasing the load-bearing capacity of the panels. Additionally, installing section steel along the longest edge beneath the panels can also enhance the stability of the prefabricated panels, enabling them to withstand greater loads. This method is suitable for renovation scenarios with high load-bearing requirements for the house, such as when new large equipment needs to be added or functional changes result in increased loads.
The second method is applicable to situations where new openings are created during the renovation of rural old houses: When creating new openings in rural old houses, angle steel can be inserted at the top of the opening to replace the lintel. The load borne by the floor slab will be transferred to both sides of the opening through the angle steel, ensuring the stability of the structure above the opening. To enhance the integrity and stability of the angle steel, the bottom of the angle steel needs to be connected with gusset plates. If the width of the angle steel is too large, through bolts should also be added. This is because when angle steel with a large width is under load, its internal stress distribution may be uneven. Adding through bolts can make the connections between different parts of the angle steel tighter, allowing them to bear the load together and avoiding deformation or damage to the angle steel due to excessive local stress, thus ensuring the safety and reliability of the structure above the opening. This method not only meets the needs of creating new openings but also ensures the overall structural stability of the house.
