Aba Rural Renovation Mobile Toilets

Admin October 08, 2026

The renovation of mobile toilets in rural areas of Aba involves multiple aspects such as project planning, technological applications, product characteristics, and implementation models.

I. Project Planning and Financial Support The rural sanitary toilet renovation project in Aba County for 2026 has a total investment of 360,000 yuan, with funds sourced from special subsidies from higher authorities and the integration of agriculture-related funds. The subsidy standard for household toilets is 2,400 yuan per unit. The project is being implemented in Hezhi Town, with the renovation and upgrading of 145 household toilets, including 125 in Hezhi Village and 20 in Gouzha Village. The renovation follows the principle of 'township-led, village-coordinated, and household-centered,' adopting a model that combines self-construction by farmers with unified bidding, and is advanced through the forms of 'construction before subsidy and reward instead of subsidy.' The whole-village advancement project of the 'toilet revolution' in Hongyuan County for 2024 covers 10 townships and plans to construct 1,219 households. It is based on the voluntary participation of farming and herding households, with priority given to meeting basic living needs.

II. Technological Adaptation for High-Altitude Regions In response to the high-altitude and low-temperature environment, Hongyuan County has introduced technologies such as electric floor heating systems and freeze-resistant water supply networks in the renovation of tourist toilets to address the issue of pipeline freezing in winter. At the same time, new facilities such as photovoltaic power generation ecological toilets and prefabricated smart toilets are adopted to enhance energy utilization efficiency and operational convenience. For example, through technological upgrades, the total number of toilet stalls in four tourist toilets, including Hutou Mountain, has increased to 86. Additionally, an innovative model of 'basic services + commercial value-added' has been introduced, integrating functions such as rest stations and convenience stores to form a sustainable management and protection mechanism of 'supporting toilets through commerce.'

III. Product Characteristics of Mobile Toilets Mobile toilets are made of diverse materials, including color-coated steel, stainless steel, carved panels, and anti-corrosion wood, which possess anti-corrosion and low-temperature resistance properties suitable for the plateau climate. The standard dimensions range from 1.2m×1.2m×2.2m to 1.4m×1.3m×2.5m, and can be customized according to needs. The products are equipped with water tanks to reduce dependence on external water sources and have strong mobility, making them suitable for scattered layouts in farming and herding areas. For example, such designs may be adopted in the renovation of public toilets in the urban area of Hongyuan County, balancing practicality and flexibility.

IV. Implementation Models and Management and Protection Mechanisms In Aba County, the renovation of household toilets is mainly carried out by farmers themselves, with the government guiding participation through subsidy funds. In Hongyuan County, some projects are uniformly implemented through bidding to ensure quality and efficiency. In terms of management and protection, Hongyuan County has established a collaborative mechanism of 'township territorial management + departmental supervision + third-party maintenance,' clarifying the responsible entities for each toilet to ensure long-term usage effectiveness.
