150,000 Yuan Container House Design
The following is a domestic design plan for creating a container house similar to the Brazilian suspended container residence, with a budget of 150,000 yuan:

Overall Structure and Functional Design
Two standard container modules are combined, with a total area controlled at around 60 square meters, and the entire structure is elevated on metal columns. The elevated structure creates a sheltered space underneath, which can be used for setting up a wood-fired stove, barbecue grill, corridor, and children's play area, achieving a three-dimensional functional zoning of 'upper-level living and lower-level socializing'. The staircase should be made of thick steel plates with anti-slip treatment on the surface, and the width should meet the needs of moving large furniture.
Structural and Thermal Performance Optimization
The foundation structure is composed of metal columns, spiral drilling, steel bars, and ground beams to ensure stability. The insulation layer requires filling rock wool between the container's steel plate and the inner light steel keel to block heat transfer. Utilizing the through-draft effect created by the elevation, combined with shading from surrounding vegetation, the indoor temperature can be reduced, while预留 (reserved) cold and warm air conditioning interfaces are provided to cope with extreme weather conditions. Sound insulation treatment requires adding sound insulation cotton between the containers to reduce metal resonance noise.
Installation and Decoration Key Points
Factory prefabrication should be maximized, with water and electricity pipelines, bathroom facilities, floor tiles, and interior wall painting completed in the factory. On-site work only requires module connection, joint sealing, and local adjustments, with the installation period controlled within one week. The interior layout is based on the needs of small families, adopting an integrated design of the living room and kitchen, equipped with a laundry area, bathroom, bedroom, and walk-in closet. The modular structure should reserve adjustment space to adapt to changes in family structure. The decoration style should balance industrial feel and comfort, retaining the original texture of the container externally, and adopting tiled floors, light steel keel ceilings, recessed LED light strips, and glass sliding doors internally to create a visual effect close to that of urban residences.
Special Considerations in China
Preliminary planning must strictly comply with land policies: rural homesteads require construction approval and submission of structural drawings; cultivated land and basic farmland are prohibited from construction; forest land requires approval from the forestry department; leased land must clarify the nature of temporary buildings. During the design phase, precise planning of dimensions is required, with priority given to determining the staggered-level design and window opening positions before purchasing containers; the water and electricity system should scientifically plan the upper and lower water paths and reserve maintenance access. For later maintenance, regular inspections of welds and corner rust prevention treatments are required. In inland areas, anti-corrosion paint needs to be reapplied every 8-12 years, in southern humid areas every 7-10 years, and in coastal areas every 3-5 years; window and door sealants should be replaced every 5-7 years, and the roof gutter should be cleaned of leaves annually to prevent water accumulation.
