Quản trị 09 tháng 10, 2026

Xinjiang has implemented comprehensive measures in the procurement, construction, quality improvement, and service optimization of mobile public toilets, achieving remarkable results.

Procurement Projects

The Culture and Tourism Department of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region launched a mobile toilet procurement project with the project number GK2024 - 208. The original announcement date was September 6, 2024, and the correction date was September 30, 2024. The correction items involved modifications to the descriptions of exhaust fans and the main reference technical specifications in the procurement documents. The winning bidder (transaction) results for this project have been announced, with winning suppliers including Liaoning Jiayi Technology Co., Ltd. and Nanjing Xinzhifa Integrated Housing Technology Co., Ltd., among others. The main bid information covers the procurement of mobile toilets of different specifications and models, such as those for the S101 tourist highway and the Tasha Ancient Road.

Construction Achievements

As of now, the total number of tourist toilets across Xinjiang has reached 4,335. This year, plans are in place to build 188 new fixed toilets and 47 new mobile toilets. The entire Ahe Highway is planned to have seven standardized service stations with 293 standardized toilet stalls. Currently, four of these stations are open to the public, equipped with sewage suction trucks, garbage compaction trucks, and water supply trucks. A dedicated team has been formed to carry out regular cleaning and maintenance operations.

Quality Improvement

The Culture and Tourism Department of the Autonomous Region issued the "Three-Year Action Plan for the Quality Improvement of Tourist Toilets in Xinjiang (2026-2028)", clarifying medium- and long-term construction and improvement goals and allocating special subsidy funds. Various regions conduct Class I and Class II quality category assessments in accordance with the national standard "Quality Requirements and Assessment of Tourist Toilets" (GB/T 18973-2022). Since 2023, a total of 36 Class I toilets have been assessed across Xinjiang, with plans to assess an additional 15 in 2026.

Service Optimization

Kanas Scenic Area has implemented a smart toilet system, with electronic screens at the entrance displaying real-time information on available toilet stalls in a dynamic manner, reducing waiting times for tourists. Tekes County focuses on humanistic care in the construction of tourist toilets, equipping them with dressing rooms and母婴室 (nursing rooms), posting warm service contact cards on the walls, and providing free toilet paper and sanitary napkins. Dayou Town in Jimusaer County promotes minor renovations of tourist toilets, implementing a dedicated cleaning staff system and setting "no odor, no standing water, and no stains" as mandatory assessment criteria. In addition, Xinjiang also offers customized super-cool corrugated mobile toilets for theme parks, with walls made of galvanized corrugated sheets and entirely hand-painted.
