Where Does the Sewage from Mobile Toilets Go

Quản trị 17 tháng 10, 2026

The destination of sewage from mobile toilets varies depending on the sewage disposal method, as detailed below:

  1. Conventional flushing type: These mobile toilets require connection to water supply and drainage pipes, and their sewage discharge path is similar to that of ordinary toilets. The sewage is first discharged into a septic tank, where it undergoes preliminary sedimentation and decomposition treatment. Then, it is discharged into the municipal sewer network and finally sent to a sewage treatment plant for centralized treatment before being discharged or reused upon meeting standards.
  2. Vacuum sewage system: This system operates on the principle of negative pressure. A vacuum pump generates strong suction to rapidly draw sewage and waste into a collection container. When the container is full, specialized vehicles transport the sewage to a sewage treatment plant or designated location for centralized treatment, ensuring proper disposal of the sewage and preventing environmental pollution.
  3. Water-storage sewage system: Waste is discharged into a storage tank through flushing. When the storage tank reaches a certain capacity, it needs to be cleaned and replaced. Similarly, specialized vehicles transport the sewage to a sewage treatment plant or designated location for centralized treatment, ensuring that the sewage is not discharged randomly and meeting environmental protection requirements.
  4. Flushing and non-flushing suction type: The flushing type uses water from a top water tank to flush, and the sewage is discharged into a bottom sewage tank. The non-flushing type directly receives excreta in the bottom sewage tank. Due to the relatively small capacity of the sewage tank, regular suction is required, after which specialized vehicles transport the sewage to a sewage treatment plant or designated location for centralized treatment.
  5. Recirculating flushing type: It is equipped with intermittent aerobic and anaerobic treatment devices and adds biological strains. Biomembrane technology is used to accelerate the fermentation and decomposition of fecal sewage. The treated water is recirculated through a filtration device for flushing toilet fixtures, forming a closed-loop system. This method only requires regular replenishment of strains and a small amount of clean water, significantly reducing sewage discharge.
  6. Dry packing type: Without a flushing device, excreta is received in a biodegradable plastic bag at the bottom of the fixture. A new plastic bag is automatically replaced after each use. After use, they are collected centrally and transported to a treatment plant for harmless disposal, such as composting or incineration, without causing sewage discharge problems.
  7. Foam blocking type: Foam is delivered through compressed air, and the system only requires a small amount of hand-washing water to meet the foaming demand. The sewage mixes with the foam and enters a collection tank, which is regularly suctioned for treatment to prevent sewage overflow.
  8. Microbial type: Feces enter a fermentation tank and are mixed with sawdust and biological strains, decomposed by microorganisms into carbon dioxide and water. Urine is treated through aeration, evaporation, decolorization, and other processes into reclaimed water, which is recirculated to flush urinals, basically generating no sewage discharge.
