What to Do If the Container House Is Dented
Quản trị 17 tháng 9, 2026
For dents in container houses, targeted treatment measures should be taken based on the location of the dent. The specific methods are as follows:

If it is a roof dent, follow these repair steps:
- Cleaning and Inspection: Remove debris from the dented area and its surroundings to ensure a dry and clean repair surface. Inspect the supporting structures below the roof (such as steel beams and columns) to confirm whether there is any deformation or looseness, and reinforce or replace damaged components.
- Iron Sheet Repair: For local dents, use special tools (such as rubber hammers or hydraulic jacks) to gently tap and restore them to their original position, avoiding excessive force that could cause secondary damage. If the iron sheet is severely damaged, cut and replace it with a new one, and use waterproof glue or welding techniques to seal the seams to ensure waterproof performance.
- Overall Inspection: After repair, conduct a comprehensive inspection of the roof's flatness and confirm the structural soundness. Verify the waterproofing effect through a water spray test (continuous spraying for more than 30 minutes) and promptly repair any leakage points.
If it is a bottom dent, take remedial measures based on the cause:
- Foundation Treatment: If the dent is caused by foundation settlement, use concrete pouring to reinforce the foundation or lay steel plates at the bottom to disperse the pressure. If poor drainage has led to foundation softening, excavate drainage ditches or lay anti-seepage membranes to improve the drainage system.
- Support Adjustment: Use adjustable screw feet to adjust the height of the container and restore it to a level state. Check whether the corner bolts are loose and tighten all connection points to ensure overall stability.
- Structural Reinforcement: If the bottom crossbeam is deformed, disassemble the floor, correct it, and then reinstall it. If the deformation is severe, add welded channel steel or H-shaped steel to enhance the load-bearing capacity. Replace damaged floors and lay hard materials (such as steel plates or wooden beams) underneath to prevent further damage from stepping.
If it is an overall or local deformation, prioritize restoring structural stability:
- Correction and Reinforcement: For minor deformations, use mechanical correction (such as jacking up with a jack) to restore the shape and add welded reinforcement plates. For severe deformations, inspect the structural damage, replace deformed components (such as columns and crossbeams), and ensure that the load-bearing capacity meets the standards.
- Root Cause Investigation: Analyze the cause of the deformation. If it is due to unreasonable structural design, optimize the layout. If the installation is not standardized, re-fix the connection components. If it is caused by external force impact, strengthen the protection (such as adding crash barriers). If it is affected by the environment (such as corrosion or temperature differences), carry out anti-corrosion and anti-rust treatments and regularly inspect the structural condition.
Precautions: Cut off the power supply before repair to ensure safety. Use materials that meet the standards (such as waterproof glue and steel). If the deformation involves load-bearing structures, it is recommended to contact a professional team for handling to avoid safety hazards caused by self-operation.
