• Prices of exported prefabricated houses: The expandable container houses exported from China are favored by foreign buyers. For example, an American couple placed an order for an expandable container house of about 70 square meters from a company in Hebei, China. The price of the house body is 15,800 US dollars. After adding shipping costs, tariffs, taxes, and miscellaneous fees, the total landed cost is 28,689 US dollars, which is less than 200,000 yuan when converted into RMB. These houses belong to prefabricated buildings, produced in factories and assembled on-site, with advantages of low price and short construction period.
• Prices of specially transformed houses: Container houses that have undergone special design and transformation are priced even higher. For example, a 45-square-meter "container house" in New Zealand, which was once the first "8-star residence", was finally sold for nearly 700,000 New Zealand dollars; the "container yacht" in Canada, composed of four containers and costing 350,000 Canadian dollars, has unique design and functions, such as being movable and offering a 360-degree unobstructed lake view.
