Urban Mobile Toilet Renovation Case
Urban mobile toilet renovation cases mainly include the renovation of seven mobile public toilets such as those on Weifang Road, Century Avenue in Shanghai, as well as the renovation of the public toilet at the Simatai checkpoint.

The renovation of the seven mobile public toilets on Weifang Road, Zhangyang Road Miaopu Road, and other locations along Century Avenue in Shanghai has yielded remarkable results. In terms of appearance, they have taken on a completely new look, using soft colors such as light beige and light brown as the base, with dark blue outlining the frames and accenting certain areas, presenting a simple, elegant, and aesthetically pleasing overall style. Regarding functional facilities, a third toilet has been added to meet the needs of special groups. Among them, the mobile public toilet at the intersection of Century Avenue and Weifang Road has also been equipped with a "Sanitation Workers' Rest Station", which includes facilities such as a refrigerator, shower room, microwave oven, and charging ports, providing a place for rest and convenience for sanitation workers and reflecting a human-centered design concept.
The public toilet at the Simatai checkpoint is located at the junction of Miyun District in Beijing and Chengde City on the Beijing-Chengde Expressway, with an average daily foot traffic of 20,000 people. Before renovation, this public toilet had numerous issues, such as peeling and falling walls, and aging and damaged sanitary ware, which not only affected its appearance but also caused inconvenience to users. During the renovation, the walls, floors, and ceilings were comprehensively refurbished, and the core sanitary ware facilities were replaced, significantly improving the overall environment of the public toilet. At the same time, the spatial layout was optimized, and additional female toilet stalls were added to alleviate the problem of women queuing for the toilet. The ventilation, lighting, and exhaust systems were also upgraded, improving the air quality and lighting conditions inside the public toilet. In addition, convenient details were enhanced. Considering the cold winters in the mountainous area, an underfloor heating system was installed to achieve constant temperature throughout the toilet, providing a warm and comfortable environment for users. These renovation measures fully took into account the needs of users and local climatic conditions, enhancing the service quality and practicality of the public toilet.
