Urban Mobile Public Toilets
Urban mobile public toilets, also known as portable toilets, are facilities designed to meet the temporary or periodic toilet needs of the public.

I. Suitable Locations
Portable toilets are suitable for a variety of locations, including stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential areas, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets. These locations often require portable toilets to provide convenient toilet services due to high foot traffic, limited conditions for constructing fixed public toilets, or temporary needs.
II. Structural Composition
Portable toilets generally consist of fecal sewage storage tanks (or fecal sewage treatment devices), floor slabs, sanitary ware, walls, washing facilities, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. These components work together to ensure the normal operation and hygiene of portable toilets.
III. Classification Methods
- By structural form: Portable toilets can be divided into single-structure portable toilets and composite-structure portable toilets. Single-structure portable toilets are usually simpler and suitable for locations with relatively single needs; while composite-structure portable toilets are more complex and may include multiple functional areas, suitable for locations with more diverse needs.
- By mobility method: Portable toilets can be divided into lifting and handling portable toilets and powered and towed portable toilets. Lifting and handling portable toilets usually require external equipment for movement and are suitable for locations that require frequent relocation; while powered and towed portable toilets have autonomous mobility capabilities and are more flexible and convenient.
- By sewage treatment method: Portable toilets can be divided into water-flushing and non-water-flushing suction portable toilets, circulating water-flushing portable toilets, and dry-packing portable toilets. These different types of portable toilets are suitable for different environments and conditions based on their sewage treatment methods.
IV. Features and Advantages
Portable toilets have the advantages of being movable, combinable, and easy to transport. They can be conveniently transported to any location where toilets need to be installed and can be used repeatedly. In addition, with the development of technology, the design of portable toilets is becoming increasingly intelligent and environmentally friendly, with complete configurations such as internal fecal collection systems, handwashing basins, and smart mirrors, which not only improve the user experience but also meet environmental requirements.
