How to Classify Mobile Toilets

Quản trị 09 tháng 10, 2026

Mobile toilets can be classified based on their mobility methods and sewage treatment approaches.

Classification by Mobility Method

  • Hoisting and Portable Mobile Toilets: These toilets are generally relatively small in size and compact in structure, facilitating movement via hoisting equipment (such as cranes) or manual handling. They are suitable for temporary events, construction sites, and other locations. When the event venue changes or the construction area shifts, the entire toilet can be quickly relocated to a new position to meet usage needs at different locations. For example, at small outdoor music festivals, hoisting and portable mobile toilets can be conveniently moved to appropriate positions according to changes in the performance venue, providing convenience for audiences and staff.
  • Powered and Trailer-mounted Mobile Toilets: Powered mobile toilets are typically equipped with their own power units, such as engines, enabling them to move independently like vehicles, offering high flexibility and autonomy. They can move freely over large areas and are suitable for scenarios requiring frequent relocation, such as large-scale touring exhibitions and mobile performances. Trailer-mounted mobile toilets are connected to vehicles via towing devices and are moved by being towed. Their advantage lies in utilizing existing vehicles for transportation without the need for additional power units, resulting in relatively lower costs. They are commonly used for medium- and short-distance mobility needs, such as toilet provision for temporary gatherings and sports events in cities.

Classification by Sewage Treatment Approach

  • Flush and Non-flush Suction Mobile Toilets: Flush mobile toilets use water from a tank to flush feces and other waste into a septic tank or sewage collection device. Non-flush suction mobile toilets do not require water for flushing; instead, they use special devices to suction feces and other waste into sealed containers. Both types of mobile toilets require regular cleaning and transportation of the septic tank or sewage collection container.
  • Recirculating Flush Mobile Toilets: These toilets are equipped with a water recycling treatment system that purifies used sewage and reuses it for flushing, achieving water resource recycling and significantly reducing water consumption. They are suitable for areas with relatively scarce water resources or strict water usage restrictions, such as outdoor event venues in arid regions.
  • Dry Packing Mobile Toilets: Dry packing mobile toilets do not use water for flushing; instead, they use special biodegradable plastic bags or containers to collect and pack feces and other waste. When the container is full, the packed waste only needs to be replaced and disposed of, making the operation simple and convenient. Moreover, they do not produce sewage and have a relatively small impact on the environment, making them commonly used in places with high environmental protection requirements, such as nature reserves and tourist attractions.
