Toilet Window Sliding Door Size
The size requirements for toilet windows and sliding doors are as follows:

Toilet Window Size The size of the toilet window should be determined based on the space size and ventilation and lighting needs. For a 4-square-meter bathroom, it is generally recommended to have a window measuring 60 cm × 60 cm, with an area of approximately 0.36 square meters, equivalent to the combined size of two A4 papers. If the space is smaller or the ventilation requirement is lower, the window size can be adjusted to 50 cm × 30 cm, which can meet basic lighting needs while avoiding excessive occupation of wall space. When designing, attention should be paid to the relative positions of the window and facilities such as the shower area and toilet to prevent moisture from directly eroding the window frame or affecting privacy.
Toilet Sliding Door Size
- Thickness Specifications: The thickness of the sliding door directly affects its stability and service life. Common specifications include 35 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm (for small sliding doors), and 75 mm, 100 mm (for large sliding doors). Among them, the 40 mm thickness is widely adopted due to its cost-effectiveness, while the 100 mm thickness is more suitable for large-sized or high-frequency use scenarios due to its structural stability and strong resistance to deformation.
- Single-sided and Double-sided Sliding Doors: For single-sided sliding doors, a minimum clear width of 650 mm should be reserved, and architectural drawings usually indicate a door opening of 700 mm to ensure smooth opening and closing; for double-sided sliding doors, a passage of 650 mm should be reserved, and the door width is generally 1300 mm. If two streams of people need to pass through simultaneously (such as in public restrooms), the door width should be expanded to 2200 mm.
- Minimum Size Restrictions: The minimum width of glass sliding doors is usually 75 cm, and the height can be adjusted according to actual needs, but the minimum width should not be less than 65 cm, otherwise, it may affect user comfort. The minimum size requirements for the door opening of mobile toilets are a width of not less than 0.70 meters and a height of not less than 2.00 meters (the height of the door opening does not include the height of the transom above the door). If there is a height difference between the ground on both sides of the opening, the higher ground should be used as the starting point for measurement. When using a steel door frame or sliding door, the width of the door opening can be widened to 0.60 meters.
When designing, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the spatial layout, frequency of use, and user needs. For example, for family bathrooms, a single-sided sliding door with a thickness of 40 mm can be preferred, while for public places, a double-sided sliding door with a thickness of 100 mm is recommended to improve traffic efficiency.
