Structure of Toilet Sliding Door

Quản trị 07 tháng 10, 2026

The structure of toilet sliding doors (sliding doors) is mainly divided into top-hung sliding doors and floor-track sliding doors based on the installation method. The following introduces their typical structures respectively:

Top-Hung Sliding Door

  1. Door Panel: As the main part of the sliding door, it can be made of various materials, commonly glass, wood, or metal. If a single layer of glass is used as the door panel, the thickness is usually less than 10mm, but the dimensions of the door frame and grille need to be calculated additionally. The design of the door panel should balance aesthetics and practicality. For example, a glass door can enhance the sense of spatial openness, while a wooden door appears more warm and inviting.
  2. Track: The top-hung sliding door only has a track installed at the top, with no need for a track on the floor. This keeps the floor beneath the door flat, facilitating easy cleaning and unobstructed passage. The track installation must strictly ensure horizontal and vertical alignment; otherwise, it may cause the door to slide jerkily or wobble, affecting the user experience.
  3. Hanging Wheels: Installed at the top of the door panel, they enable the door to slide by rolling. The hanging wheels must bear the entire weight of the door panel, so their material (such as stainless steel or nylon) and load-bearing capacity are crucial. If the door panel is too heavy, it may cause the hanging wheels to deform or the track to wear, leading to poor sliding performance or even safety hazards.
  4. Hardware Accessories: These include connectors, fixing screws, etc., used to securely combine the door panel, track, and hanging wheels. The quality of the hardware accessories directly affects the durability of the sliding door. It is necessary to choose rust-resistant and corrosion-resistant materials to adapt to the humid environment of the bathroom.
  5. Door Frame Trim: Wrapped around the edge of the sliding door, it serves to decorate and protect the door frame. The width of the door frame trim is usually 5-15mm and can be adjusted according to the decorative style. Its material is often the same as that of the door panel to maintain overall coordination.

Floor-Track Sliding Door
The structure of the floor-track sliding door is similar to that of the top-hung sliding door, but it adds a floor track section. The floor track connects to the door panel through rollers to enable sliding. However, the floor track is prone to accumulating dust and dirt, making cleaning more difficult, and it may affect passage safety due to track protrusion. Additionally, the floor track usually offers better sealing performance than the top-hung sliding door, making it more suitable for scenarios with high requirements for sound insulation and moisture resistance.

Purchase Considerations
In addition to the structure, when purchasing a bathroom sliding door, attention should also be paid to the sealing performance (such as the quality of the rubber strips) and the material of the rollers (such as silent bearings). A sliding door with poor sealing performance may cause moisture to escape, while low-quality rollers are prone to generating noise or getting stuck.
