How to Install a Mobile Toilet in the Bathroom

Quản trị 01 tháng 10, 2026

The installation of a mobile toilet requires selecting the appropriate steps based on its type, mainly divided into two cases: the installation of a toilet offset flange and the installation of a regular mobile toilet. The specific operations are as follows:

Installation of a Toilet Offset Flange (Must be completed before laying floor tiles)

  1. Measurement and Cutting
Use a tape measure to determine the distance the toilet needs to be moved. Select the type of offset flange based on the shifting requirements (e.g., a flat-pipe offset flange typically has a height of about 50-60mm). Cut the main body of the offset flange to the appropriate length using a saw, ensuring the cut surface is flat to avoid affecting the seal.

  2. Component Connection
Use specialized adhesive (such as PVC glue) to connect the main body of the offset flange with elbows, flanges, and other components. Apply the adhesive evenly and let it sit for 5-10 minutes after connection to allow the adhesive to cure and prevent leaks.

  3. Floor Grooving and Fixing
Create a groove in the floor, with a width slightly larger than the diameter of the offset flange (usually 10-20mm wider than the offset flange) and a depth adjusted according to the type of offset flange. For example, a flat-pipe offset flange requires a groove depth of 20-40mm. After embedding, secure it with cement or specialized clamps to ensure a tight fit between the offset flange and the floor.

  4. Slope Adjustment and Floor Treatment
The greater the shifting distance, the larger the drainage slope required (generally, it is recommended to maintain a 5% slope). If using a flat-pipe offset flange, raise the pipe by about 5mm for every 100mm of movement. After installation, level the floor and lay tiles to make the offset flange flush with the final floor height, reducing the amount of floor elevation. The flange of the new type of offset flange can directly cooperate with the connecting seat on the main body and be fixed to the floor with cement, eliminating the need for expansion screws and simplifying the process.

Installation of a Regular Mobile Toilet (Suitable for cases where no shifting is required)

  1. Unpacking and Inspection
Mobile toilets are mostly ceramic products, so handle them with care when unpacking to avoid bumps. Check that all accessories are complete (such as the water tank, toilet seat, seal ring, bolts, etc.) and confirm there are no damages or missing parts.

  2. Installation of the Water Tank and Toilet Body
Fix the water tank and toilet body together with bolts, ensuring the installation holes are aligned. Apply symmetric force when tightening the bolts to prevent the water tank from tilting. Install the seal ring at the connection between the toilet's drainage outlet and the floor drainage pipe to ensure a tight seal and prevent leaks.

  3. Fixing the Toilet
Align the toilet with the floor drainage pipe and slowly lower it to avoid scratching the seal ring. Secure the toilet base to the floor with expansion screws or cement to ensure stability and no wobbling. If the floor is uneven, adjust it by placing rubber pads under the toilet base.

  4. Water Inlet Connection and Testing
Connect one end of the water inlet hose to the water inlet of the water tank and the other end to the wall water valve, tightening the connections to prevent leaks. Turn on the water valve to check if the water tank fills normally and test the flush to ensure smooth drainage. Confirm there are no leaks before use.
