Toilet Mobile Bookshelf with Casters

Quản trị 24 tháng 9, 2026

The toilet mobile bookshelf can achieve flexible movement by installing casters. Common solutions include directly purchasing finished products with integrated casters or modifying existing bookshelves, with a focus on the moisture resistance of the material, the load-bearing capacity of the wheels, and the reliability of the brakes.

I. Selection of Finished Mobile Bookshelves

There are already some mobile storage products on the market specifically designed for humid environments that can directly replace traditional bookshelves. For example:

  1. Bathroom Gap Storage Racks: These feature a narrow design that can fit into the gap between the toilet and the wall in the bathroom. They are usually equipped with four swivel casters with brakes at the bottom. The materials are mostly mold-resistant plastic or stainless steel, suitable for storing lightweight items such as toiletries and cleaning tools.
  2. Multi-tier Storage Trolleys: These mainly consist of metal frames paired with plastic or wooden shelves. The wheels have a relatively large diameter (usually ≥5cm) and a strong load-bearing capacity (up to 20kg or more). They can hold heavier items like books and towels, and some models have adjustable shelf heights.
  3. Hollow-out Design Storage Racks: For example, a certain 4-tier hollow-out storage rack is recommended for bathroom storage because it has swivel casters at the bottom and is made of mold-resistant plastic. Its hollow-out structure can accelerate water evaporation and prevent books from getting damp.

II. Caster Modification Solutions for Existing Bookshelves

If you need to modify an ordinary bookshelf, pay attention to the following key points:

  1. Wheel Selection: Give priority to swivel casters with brakes for easy positioning. The material should be stainless steel or nylon to resist corrosion in humid environments. The wheel diameter is recommended to be ≥5cm, and the load-bearing capacity should be more than 1.2 times the fully loaded weight of the bookshelf (for example, if the bookshelf is fully loaded with 30kg, choose wheels with a load-bearing capacity of ≥36kg).
  2. Installation Position: Fix the wheels at the four corners of the bottom of the bookshelf to ensure even force distribution. If the bottom of the bookshelf is hollow, add a wooden or metal plate as a support base before installing the wheels.
  3. Brake Testing: After installation, repeatedly test the brake function to ensure that the bookshelf can be stably fixed on humid floors (such as tiles) and avoid the risk of sliding.

III. Usage Precautions

  1. Regularly check if the wheel brakes are loose to prevent metal parts from rusting due to moisture.
  2. Avoid moving the bookshelf over water stains on the floor to prevent the wheels from slipping or getting damaged by water.
  3. If the bookshelf stores paper books, it is recommended to use moisture-proof boxes or sealed bags to further reduce the risk of dampness.
