Tibet Container House Design

Quản trị 17 tháng 9, 2026

The design of container houses in Tibet needs to incorporate modular construction, structural optimization, and environmental adaptability. The specific design points are as follows:

1. Modular and Standardized Design
Using standard containers (20-foot, 40-foot) or custom sizes (such as 3m×6m×2.7m) as units, the main structure is reinforced, cut, and welded through factory prefabrication to ensure structural strength and dimensional accuracy. Functional spaces are combined into complex forms, such as office suites, row houses, or double-story public facilities, through horizontal or vertical splicing (using dedicated connectors). This design shortens on-site construction time and adapts to different scenarios.

2. Structural Optimization and Adaptability

  • Seismic Performance: A steel frame structure is adopted, with containers connected by bolts to form a whole, enhancing stability and adapting to the complex terrain of the plateau.
  • Foundation Treatment: In areas with poor soil conditions, only ground leveling and foundation pouring are required, which is simpler compared to traditional brick-and-mortar buildings.
  • Transport Convenience: Container sizes comply with international standards, and foldable containers can be stacked compactly. A 6.8-meter truck can transport 6-7 sets, and a 17-meter truck can transport 20 sets, reducing logistics costs.

3. Thermal Insulation Performance

  • Composite Wall Structure: Filled with rock wool or polyurethane insulation material inside and covered with metal decorative panels outside, it effectively blocks heat transfer, adapting to the large temperature differences between day and night in Tibet.
  • Window and Door Sealing: Using thermal-break aluminum alloy + insulated glass improves sealing and sound insulation, reducing energy loss.

4. Functional Configuration and Expandability

  • Modular Combination: Basic units include living, sanitary, and kitchen modules, which are spliced to form complete functional spaces, facilitating later expansion or functional adjustments.
  • Pipeline Embedding: Indoor pipelines are pre-embedded with standardized interfaces for easy maintenance; the power system adopts a modular design for flexible configuration according to needs.

5. Environmental Friendliness and Durability

  • Dry Construction Method: There is little construction waste on-site, and materials can be recycled after demolition, aligning with sustainable development concepts.
  • Rust Prevention Treatment: The steel structure undergoes rust prevention treatment, adapting to the strong ultraviolet rays and dry climate of the plateau, with a service life exceeding 10 years.

6. Creative Design and Cultural Integration

  • Space Utilization: Utilization is improved through designs such as loft spaces and non-traditional square cuts.
  • Exterior Facade: Incorporating Tibetan cultural elements (such as traditional patterns and colors) or modern styles meets the diverse needs of offices, guesthouses, and scenic area receptions.

Design Recommendations: Clearly define the purpose and scale to determine the number of units; verify material specifications (such as the thickness of color-coated steel sheets, core material density, and fire rating) and the heat transfer coefficient (it is recommended that the K value be below 0.6 W/(㎡·K)).
