Thermal Insulation for Container Mobile House Roof

Quản trị 17 tháng 9, 2026

Thermal insulation for the roof of container mobile houses can be achieved by selecting appropriate materials, adding insulation layers, optimizing door and window designs, and paying attention to detail handling. Details are as follows:

1. Select appropriate thermal insulation materials The core of roof insulation lies in blocking heat transfer. Priority should be given to materials with low thermal conductivity and excellent insulation properties. Polystyrene boards, polyurethane foam boards, and rock wool boards are common choices:

  • Polyurethane sandwich panels have a thermal conductivity of ≤0.024 W/(m·K), offering the best insulation effect and are suitable for cold regions in the north.
  • Rock wool sandwich panels have a thermal conductivity of ≤0.044 W/(m·K). Although their insulation performance is slightly weaker, they have a fire rating of Class A and are suitable for high-temperature or flammable environments (such as chemical areas).
  • Polystyrene boards are relatively low-cost but have weaker fire resistance and need to be weighed according to the usage scenario.

2. Add thermal insulation layers By adding insulation layers to the roof structure, a physical barrier can be formed to reduce heat transfer:

  • External insulation layers: Install insulation boards (such as polyurethane or rock wool sandwich panels) on the exterior of the roof to directly block external heat intrusion.
  • Internal insulation layers: Attach extruded polystyrene boards or phenolic foam boards to the interior of the container house, with a recommended thickness of 5-10 cm, to further reduce indoor heat loss.

3. Optimize door and window designs for auxiliary insulation Although doors and windows are not part of the roof, their design directly affects the overall insulation effect:

  • Use double- or triple-glazed windows: For example, the 5+12a+5 specification (two 5 mm glass panes with a 12 mm air layer in between) can effectively block the exchange of hot and cold air while reducing noise.
  • Install sealing strips: Install rubber or silicone sealing strips around the edges of doors and windows to improve airtightness and watertightness and reduce heat leakage through gaps.
  • Choose broken-bridge aluminum alloy frames: Their internal broken-bridge structure can block the heat conduction path of the metal. When combined with insulated glass, it can significantly reduce the heat transfer coefficient.

4. Pay attention to detail handling Detail handling during the construction process directly affects the insulation effect:

  • Joint sealing: The joints of insulation materials should be sealed with special sealants or aluminum foil tapes to prevent heat leakage through gaps.
  • Structural integration: The connection between the insulation layer and the container roof should use professional anchors or adhesives to ensure stability.
  • Waterproofing: Add waterproof membranes or coatings on the exterior of the insulation layer to prevent rainwater penetration from reducing the insulation performance.
