Thermal-Insulated Container Finished House
A thermal-insulated container finished house is a mobile living unit prefabricated through industrialized construction methods, featuring excellent thermal performance and flexible spatial functionality. Its core characteristics can be analyzed from the following aspects:

1. Degree of prefabrication of building modules
Thermal-insulated container houses adopt a fully prefabricated production model, where the main structure (such as galvanized steel frames), interior and exterior wall decorations (such as rock wool sandwich panels and PVC-coated steel plates), and piping systems are all integrated and completed in the factory. Taking the products of Baotou Xinxing Color Plate Steel Structure Manufacturing Co., Ltd. as an example, the container body integrates walls, roofs, and floors into a single rigid unit through design. On-site installation only requires lifting and joint treatment, with errors controlled at the millimeter level. This standardized production method reduces on-site wet work, improves spatial squareness, and reduces the need for later modifications.
2. Compensation mechanism for thermal performance
To address the high thermal conductivity of metal container bodies, thermal-insulated container houses generally adopt a multi-layer structural design: the outer layer is galvanized sheet resistant to wind and sand erosion, the middle layer is filled with 80-100 mm thick rock wool as the main insulation layer, and the inner layer uses low-thermal-radiation materials (such as PVC-coated steel plates). Some products also add an elevated layer at the bottom of the container body to block ground cold bridge conduction. Test data shows that such a structure can reduce indoor temperature fluctuations by about 40% compared to traditional color steel plate houses. However, attention should be paid to the airtightness treatment of door and window sealing strips and joints; otherwise, local condensation may occur.
3. Partitioning logic of spatial functions
Limited by the fixed container size (commonly 3 meters × 6 meters), designers adopt a functional overlapping strategy to optimize space utilization: the kitchen and bathroom are concentrated at one end of the container to form a wet area, using integrated bathroom technology for waterproof integration; the living and sleeping areas achieve day-night functional switching through convertible furniture (such as wall-mounted folding tables and drop-down beds). This design requires residents to systematically plan item storage; otherwise, the actual usable area may shrink by more than 20%.
4. Relocation costs and structural durability
The single lifting and transportation cost of a thermal-insulated container house is approximately 15-25 yuan per kilometer. After arriving at a new site, it only needs to be connected to water and electricity for use, significantly lower than the relocation and replacement costs of traditional houses. However, it should be noted that after multiple disassemblies and assemblies of the container body, the connecting bolts are prone to fatigue damage. When the number of disassemblies and assemblies exceeds 5 times, the risk of structural deformation increases by about 15%.
