Temporary Housing Container-Style House
Quản trị 16 tháng 9, 2026
Temporary housing container-style houses are temporary buildings transformed from containers, offering advantages such as flexible adaptability and cost control, but also have drawbacks like limited space and simple facilities.

Advantages
- Flexible Adaptability: Container-style houses can be modified and combined according to different needs, enabling the rapid construction of temporary buildings with various functions, such as temporary office spaces, accommodation facilities, and event support housing. During the Nagoya Asian Games, containers were used to accommodate some athletes and officials.
- Cost Control: Compared to traditional buildings, the construction cost of container-style houses is lower. Their primary raw material is containers, which can be mass-produced and purchased. Additionally, the construction process is relatively simple, requiring less manpower and material investment, effectively reducing construction costs.
- Efficient Installation: Some high-quality container-style houses have high installation efficiency. For example, the quick-assembly container products from Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. take only 2 hours to install a single unit. A camp with 100 units can be set up and put into use within 7 days from arrival. All modules are pre-installed with interiors in the factory, and only need to be assembled and fixed on-site, significantly shortening the deployment cycle.
Disadvantages
- Limited Space: The space in container-style houses is relatively small, with limited floor area per unit and extremely narrow aisles, allowing only sideways movement. During the Nagoya Asian Games, each unit of the container-style temporary housing accommodated 4 beds, which was clearly insufficient for tall athletes. Athletes over two meters tall could not even straighten their legs on the beds.
- Simple Facilities: Some container-style houses have relatively simple hardware facilities, with issues such as poor thermal and acoustic insulation, narrow beds, and room leakage. The container cabins where the South Korean men's basketball players stayed experienced sink leakage and wet floors.
- Poor Living Experience: Due to space and facility limitations, the living experience in container-style houses is relatively poor. Multiple people share one toilet and shower room, and the small room size and poor sound insulation affect the quality of life and privacy of the occupants.
