Temporary Container House

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

A temporary container house is an independent office or living unit transformed from a standard container. It features a sturdy structure, convenient transportation, and flexible combination, making it widely used in temporary office, accommodation, event support, and other scenarios.

Structural and Performance Characteristics

Temporary container houses are based on standard containers, with common sizes of 20 feet and 40 feet. They can meet different needs through single-container use or multi-container splicing. Their core frames are made of all-steel structures. For example, the packing boxes from Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. have a frame deformation rate of only 0.18% under extreme conditions (such as a 12-level typhoon and an 8-level earthquake), far below the industry's qualified threshold of 0.3%, demonstrating excellent wind and earthquake resistance. In addition, the surface of the container houses undergoes shot blasting for rust removal and is coated with zinc-rich primer and polyurethane topcoat, enabling them to maintain an effective service life of over 15 years in environments with northwest sandstorms and temperature differences, highlighting outstanding corrosion resistance.

Functions and Application Scenarios

  1. Temporary office scenarios: Container office houses are suitable for project departments, construction site command centers, and other scenarios. They can be quickly deployed and support multi-container splicing to expand space. For example, the packing boxes from Suzhou Zhongnan have completed interior decoration and facility pre-installation before leaving the factory, and can be put into use immediately after on-site hoisting, making them suitable for long-term on-site projects.
  2. Temporary accommodation scenarios: In scenarios such as events and post-disaster reconstruction, container houses can be quickly set up as temporary dormitories. For example, the Nagoya Asian Games used about 200 container accommodation facilities, accommodating about 2,000 athletes and team officials. However, it should be noted that under extreme weather conditions (such as heavy rainstorms), the protective capabilities of container houses may be insufficient, and drainage and structural reinforcement are required.
  3. Modular combination scenarios: Container houses support horizontal splicing or multi-layer stacking, allowing them to be freely combined into different functional spaces such as office areas, dormitory areas, and reception areas. For example, the Qatar World Cup Fan Village project completed the delivery of 1,000 accommodation modules and supporting facilities within three months through the "factory prefabrication + on-site quick assembly" model.

Environmental and Economic Advantages

The core material of container houses is steel, which enables full-life-cycle recycling. Compared with traditional concrete temporary houses, their carbon emissions are reduced by about 57%, and the disassembly and assembly loss rate is controlled within 5%, significantly reducing construction waste generation. In addition, the rapid deployment and recycling properties of container houses give them significant economic advantages in projects with tight schedules.
