Technical Standard for Container Houses

Quản trị 17 tháng 9, 2026

The technical standard for container houses primarily covers aspects such as scope of application, structural loading, fire prevention and corrosion resistance, load design, water and electricity configuration, usage restrictions, and maintenance requirements, as detailed below:

1. Scope of Application and Basic Requirements
Applicable to low-rise and multi-story modular combined houses, with a maximum of 6 stories, a height not exceeding 24 meters, and a seismic fortification intensity not exceeding 8 degrees. The design service life is divided into 50 years (structural safety factor ≥ 1.0) or 25 years (≥ 0.95). Used containers must comply with the GB/T12418 standard, be inspected and repaired to be qualified and defect-free, with all 8 corner fittings intact and reliable. Quality certification documents must accompany the containers upon arrival.

2. Structural Loading and Construction
A pure steel frame loading system is adopted, with wall panels, roof panels, and glass not bearing any load. The load transfer path is 'panel secondary beam → main beam → corner column → corner fitting → foundation/lower container'. Corner fittings are the only stacking load transfer points, and spot welding is strictly prohibited as a substitute. The steel for container bodies must be welding weathering steel (GB/T 4171), while non-container body components use Q235B or Q345B steel (GB/T 700, GB/T 1591). When large openings weaken structural stiffness, containers with holes should be staggered and symmetrically arranged with those without holes. The overhang length should not be excessive, and no holes are allowed in the overhang section. Lateral force-resisting members must be symmetrically arranged in plan and uniformly stiff in the vertical direction. Corner fittings and corner columns of multi-story stacked containers must be vertically aligned and locked tightly.

3. Fire Prevention and Corrosion Resistance
The use of flammable core materials such as EPS in enclosure filling is prohibited. Crowded venues must use Class A rock wool or glass wool, with fire resistance limits controlled according to the GB50016 standard (commonly requiring ≥ 0.5 hours, stricter for high-rise modules). Steel structures must be coated with fire-resistant paint, and fire separations should be set between floors. The clear width of escape routes should not be less than 0.9 meters.

4. Design Live Loads
The standard value for ground live loads is 2kN/m² (i.e., 200kg/m²), and for roofs, it is 0.5kN/m² (i.e., 50kg/m²). Overloading or stacking debris on the roof is strictly prohibited during use.

5. Electrical Equipment Configuration
All equipment has a rated voltage of 220V, with a maximum load of 4500W for the container house. Unauthorized alterations to the wiring are not allowed. Cable specifications are clearly defined: the main power line entering the house is 6 square millimeters, the air conditioning line is 4 square millimeters, the socket line is 2.5 square millimeters, and the lighting switch line is 1.5 square millimeters; for kitchen containers, the incoming line is 10 square millimeters, and the socket line is 6 square millimeters.

6. Usage Restrictions
The function of the house cannot be altered without authorization, and modifications to the container body structure, enclosure structure, and water and electricity facilities are prohibited. The storage of flammable, explosive, toxic, radioactive, and other hazardous materials, as well as corrosive chemicals, is strictly prohibited.

7. Casement Window and Curtain Wall Maintenance
Casement windows should not be opened in rainy, snowy weather or when the wind force exceeds Level 4, and must be fully closed when the wind force exceeds Level 6. Regularly check hardware (such as sliding rods, supports, and handles) for looseness, and any issues should be repaired by professionals. Curtain wall maintenance should be carried out in good weather (wind force ≤ Level 4, no rain, snow, or fog, and temperature ≥ 0°C).
