Prefabricated Panels for Steel Structure House Walls

Quản trị 19 tháng 9, 2026

Prefabricated panels for steel structure house walls are mainly divided into three categories: lightweight masonry walls, lightweight panel walls, and new-type wall prefabricated panels that can be directly pasted.

Lightweight masonry walls are non-load-bearing new-type lightweight block walls, with a variety of commonly used types in engineering. These include concrete small hollow block walls (ordinary and lightweight aggregate types), autoclaved aerated concrete block walls, silicate concrete block (fly ash block, slag block, coal rock hollow block) walls, and gypsum block walls, among others. These walls have abundant raw material resources, perform well in terms of thermal insulation, fire resistance, and earthquake resistance, and are relatively simple to produce and process. However, they also have obvious drawbacks, such as being prone to cracking, requiring a large amount of wet work during construction, resulting in slow construction speed, and having a long curing time.

Lightweight panel walls come in a variety of forms, including single panels made of large lightweight concrete panels and sandwich panels (commonly known as sandwich boards) composed of thermal insulation materials. They can be made into strip panels or large-area whole panels, enabling factory production and prefabricated construction. Among them, panel walls suitable for steel frame structural systems that can meet the requirements of building envelope structures for thermal insulation, moisture prevention, and sound insulation mainly include lightweight autoclaved aerated concrete panels (ALC panels), etc. ALC panels are made of the same material as autoclaved aerated concrete blocks, formed into strip panels with the addition of steel reinforcement mesh, and cured using high-temperature and high-pressure steam, resulting in many closed pores inside. This gives them good thermal insulation and sound insulation properties, relatively light weight, the ability to adapt to large inter-story displacement angles, and good earthquake resistance. They are equipped with special connecting bolts and can be flexibly connected to steel frames, either externally hung or embedded, and are currently the most widely used new-type wall panels in China, with relatively mature technology and listed as a "National Residential Construction Recommended Product."

In addition, there is a new-type wall prefabricated panel that can be directly pasted on the wall. During construction, it does not require cement or cumbersome work; only glue needs to be applied. This prefabricated panel is not only waterproof but also fire-resistant, providing a new option for prefabricated panels for steel structure house walls.
