Sliding Door for Small Toilet
It is feasible to use a sliding door in a small toilet, and sliding doors have certain advantages in small spaces.

Advantages of Sliding Doors
The unique opening and closing mechanism of sliding doors can save a significant amount of space. The space required for opening and closing the door is almost concentrated within a single plane, effectively reducing the space requirements of the bathroom and allowing for more flexible layout, especially suitable for bathrooms with limited space. For example, a straight-type double sliding door has glass that can move in both directions, facilitating easy entry and exit from both sides. After opening, the glass is flush, providing a large entry space. It also comes with bidirectional buffer dampers, ensuring safety, quietness, and preventing pinching.
Installation Considerations
- Doorway Size: The doorway size restricts the installation. For small spaces, a single-panel sliding door is recommended. When the doorway is narrow, using two panels is not very practical, and a single-panel sliding door is more suitable.
- Wall Height and Width: These factors need to be considered when installing a sliding door. When the doorway height is below 1.95 meters, it can make people feel cramped. For the installation of a suspended sliding door, the height of the track box control needs to be considered. Generally, a minimum height of 12 centimeters is required at the top, and the height of the bathroom wall should be at least 207 centimeters.
Purchase Considerations
- Door Thickness and Size: These should be selected flexibly based on the size of the bathroom. The standard doorway width is 700mm, and a single-sided door requires a net width of 650mm. For bathroom sliding doors, large sliding doors come in thicknesses of 50MM, 75MM, or 100MM, with 100MM being the most common. Small sliding doors are mostly 50MM, 40MM, or 35MM, with 40MM being more prevalent.
- Sealing and Roller Material: Improper selection of track material can lead to problems such as inflexible opening and closing and noise after prolonged use. The quality of the rollers affects the sliding effect of the door. Poor-quality rollers can lead to safety hazards such as derailment during sliding, so attention should be paid to these two aspects.
