Small Shipping Container House Design
Quản trị 17 tháng 9, 2026
Small shipping container house design is a design practice that transforms standard shipping containers by leveraging their modularity, sturdiness, and portability to create habitable or workable spaces.

Structural Design and Material Selection
- Main Structure: Utilizes a shear-forming process, with enhanced stability achieved through welding or bolt connections. It has a load-bearing capacity of up to 10 tons and excellent wind pressure resistance, capable of withstanding strong winds.
- Shell Material: Primarily uses benzene board or glass wool core materials. The benzene board provides basic thermal insulation, while the glass wool further optimizes insulation performance. It also features acid and alkali resistance, as well as corrosion resistance, extending the service life.
- Internal Base Layer: Selects materials with strong deformation resistance to ensure long-term use without deformation, maintaining spatial structural stability.
- Exterior Treatment: Achieves a modern style design through diversified surface treatments such as spraying and film application. Colors and shapes can be customized according to needs, meeting personalized aesthetic requirements.
Functional Adaptation and Space Optimization
- Internal Layout: Adopts a 'loft split-level design,' with the lower level planned as a living room + kitchen and the upper level featuring a tatami bedroom. A 14㎡ space can accommodate all essential living functions, achieving efficient space utilization.
- Modular Design: Supports rapid assembly, allowing multiple containers to be combined into two-story or larger buildings, adapting to different project scales and flexibly responding to site changes.
- Sealing Performance: Superior to traditional temporary buildings, it effectively prevents dust and rain, enhancing living comfort and safety.
Technical Highlights and Practical Applications
- Environmental Protection and Efficiency: Standardized dimensions reduce material waste, while mass production processing lowers costs and shortens construction periods, aligning with sustainable development principles.
- Compression and Tension Resistance: The structure is stable and robust, with excellent tension resistance, ensuring safety even when stacked, adapting to complex terrains and climatic conditions.
- Rapid Deployment: Container houses with completed interior finishes can be transported as a whole using standard transportation tools. Upon arrival at the destination, only simple site leveling and foundation fixing are required before they can be put into use, shortening the construction period.
