Small Container House Design Drawing

Quản trị 17 tháng 9, 2026

Small container house design drawings can be diversified according to different needs and styles. The following introduces several common design ideas with case studies:

I. 16.6㎡ Compact and Multi-functional Design This design focuses on efficient space utilization and is suitable for single occupants or small families. The outer frame is made from repurposed shipping containers, with an outer layer of cedar panels to enhance the natural texture and improve thermal insulation. The container's iron door is replaced with a four-layer tempered glass sliding door, ensuring ample natural light and optimized ventilation. Inside, white wood panels and flooring create a warm atmosphere, with additional thermal insulation materials added to cope with extreme weather conditions. In terms of functional zoning, a custom sofa and wall bed achieve a 'living-bedroom integration'. The kitchen uses built-in appliances to save space, the bathroom features a folding door for wet-dry separation, and the office area utilizes a wall-mounted folding table for flexible use. The porch design extends outdoor activity space, while the illuminated eaves enhance nighttime safety.

II. 30㎡ Design Integrating Natural Elements This design emphasizes interaction between the building and its environment, suitable for vacation or leisure settings. A 12×2.5-meter container is extended horizontally to create an open floor plan, with a mix of stone and wood materials highlighting natural textures. In the floor plan, the swimming pool and outdoor leisure area occupy nearly half of the space, connected seamlessly to the indoors through large glass sliding doors. The interior space features an open layout, with the kitchen, dining area, and living room forming a continuous flow, while the bedroom maintains privacy through movable partitions. The roof design can incorporate solar panels or greenery, balancing energy utilization with ecological aesthetics.

III. 15㎡ Minimalist and Tech-oriented Design This plan focuses on functionality and sustainability, suitable for tech enthusiasts or minimalists. The exterior retains the original form of the shipping container, with a deep blue coating for visual impact and front and rear double doors for optimized ventilation. The roof connects to solar panels via a lifting rod for self-sufficient energy; the small patio extends outdoor space through a foldable structure. Inside, a contrast of natural wood and black fire-resistant materials is used, with a linear kitchen integrating an induction cooktop and hidden sink. A folding bed and lifting table meet sleeping and working needs. A central small stove serves both heating and cooking functions, surrounded by black special materials (such as ceramic fiber boards) to ensure safety.

Summary of Design Points

  1. Structural Modification: Prioritize addressing the load-bearing and corrosion-resistant issues of the container, expanding space through cutting, welding, or adding steel structures.
  2. Material Selection: Choose weather-resistant materials for the exterior (such as cedar panels,防腐木-preservative-treated wood), and focus on thermal insulation and fire resistance for the interior.
  3. Functional Integration: Flexibly divide areas according to needs, utilizing foldable furniture and built-in equipment to enhance space utilization.
  4. Energy System: Combine solar panels, rainwater harvesting systems, etc., to achieve sustainable living and reduce operational costs.
