Simple Portable Toilet
Simple portable toilets can be made by modifying storage tanks or assembling modular components. They are movable and easy to assemble, suitable for temporary locations.

1. Modification Method Using Storage Tanks
Basic Structure Processing
Use an angle grinder to cut a large storage tank in half along its longitudinal axis, keeping one half as the main body of the toilet. Drill holes along the bottom edge of the cut tank and fix four wooden planks as a base using self-tapping screws. Install universal wheels at the four corners of the wooden planks to ensure mobility. For enhanced comfort, add horizontal wooden strips along the upper edge of the tank and fix them with screws to form a toilet seat support frame, with the height adjustable as needed.Door and Wall Installation
Cut a rectangular opening approximately 60cm×40cm on the side of the tank as a door opening. Attach a 5cm-wide sponge strip along the edge of the door opening to create a sealed buffer layer. Cut a transparent plastic sheet to match the size of the door opening, insert it into the sponge strip, and secure it with rivets to form a lightweight wall. The uncut upper part of the tank can serve as a sloped roof directly, or cover it with waterproof canvas or plastic film for rain protection if necessary.Functional Component Configuration
Place a portable toilet or dig a cesspit inside the tank and lay a leak-proof membrane at the bottom to prevent leakage. If a flushing design is adopted, install a small water tank on the roof and connect it to the flushing device with a hose. External hooks can be added for hanging tissue boxes or disinfectant bottles to enhance practicality.
2. Key Points for Assembling Modular Components
Core Component Composition
A portable toilet typically includes a fecal storage tank (or septic tank), non-slip flooring, water-saving fixtures, lightweight walls, a washbasin, a water supply tank, and a mobile chassis. The fecal storage tank should be sealed to prevent odor diffusion; wall materials can be color-coated steel plates or fiberglass-reinforced plastics, balancing strength and lightness.Assembly Process
Place the mobile chassis on a flat surface and install the fecal storage tank, flooring, and wall modules in sequence. Secure each component with clips or bolts to ensure structural stability. The roof should be designed to be detachable for easy maintenance. The water supply system can be connected to the municipal water network or equipped with an independent water tank to meet different scenario requirements.Scenario Optimization
At tourist attractions or large event venues, multiple modules can be combined to expand capacity, with additional side wall modules added for space extension. For winter use, insulation materials can be filled in the wall cavity to enhance cold resistance.
