Shibei Container Mobile House

Quản trị 16 tháng 9, 2026

The Shibei container mobile house, represented by the TEU Container Tribe, is a distinctive project that integrates creative commerce, cultural and tourism experiences, and urban services.

Architectural Features and Functional Positioning

The TEU Container Tribe is located at No. 1 Gangzhou Road, Shibei District, Qingdao, within the cruise terminal. It is a key project by Shandong Port Group to develop the cruise cultural tourism industry. The project is constructed using a combination of steel structures and containers, resembling Tetris blocks. It forms a unique spatial structure through free-fall stacking, with corridors and overpasses designed in the gaps, combining industrial style with a fashionable feel. Its exterior colors are primarily blue, white, and gray or white, orange, and blue, with a building area of nearly 6,100 square meters. It is the most comprehensive container-structured creative commercial complex in China in terms of consumer service facilities.

Integration of Diverse Business Formats

The project integrates various business formats such as family vacations, food and beverage, leisure sports, lifestyle entertainment, shopping, and aesthetic arts, forming an urban lifestyle service space. For example, merchants such as the Curiosity Museum, TOUCH Motorcycle Club, and Jinshi Nianhua Art Studio have signed contracts to settle in. Additionally, the inaugural No. 6 Wharf Jiujiu Trunk Market was held, featuring fashionable elements such as gourmet desserts, plant floristry, and coffee and cold drinks, meeting the needs of urban slow-paced living.

Cultural and Tourism Value

The TEU Container Tribe is the first supporting project in the startup area of the Qingdao International Cruise Terminal District and a popular网红 (internet-famous) check-in spot. Its design breaks away from convention, with each container having a unique theme such as coffee, craft beer, and camping bases. The shops are designed without partitions, forming a themed commercial space. Furthermore, the project collaborates with camping bases and sports parks to integrate fashionable resources, creating replicable cultural tourism products. Movies such as "Catching Dolls" and "The Great Game" were filmed here, and the "Orange Sea" viewing platform has become a popular spot for sunset viewing.

Social Service Innovation

In 2025, the Shibei District Marriage Registration Office's cruise terminal itinerant point will be established on the second floor of the Container Tribe, adopting a container industrial-style marriage registration scene and a panoramic certificate-issuing model at the cruise terminal to create a full sea-view marriage registration itinerant point. In the same year, the Qingdao Cruise Terminal Sweet Economy Demonstration Base will be unveiled here, further expanding its social service functions.
