Shanwei Container House Specifications

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

The common specification of container houses in Shanwei is mainly 3 meters wide × 6 meters long, with an internal clear height of about 2.6 meters and an expanded area of about 18 square meters. In addition, there are customized models and specifications derived from shipping containers.

1. Standard Specification: 3m × 6m

This is the most common container house specification in the Shanwei area and the 'golden ratio' for office and temporary living spaces on construction sites. With an internal clear height of about 2.6 meters and an expanded area of about 18 square meters, it can accommodate a double bed, a simple desk, and a standing wardrobe, making efficient use of space without feeling cramped. The advantages of this specification include:

  • Convenient transportation and hoisting: The size complies with road transportation restrictions, allowing easy access to narrow construction passages and high hoisting efficiency;
  • Reasonable internal circulation: The space layout is compact, meeting basic living needs while avoiding waste;
  • Quick assembly: Using a modular design, it can be fixed with bolts after aligning the pre-buried parts at the four corners, and can be powered up and ready for occupancy in half a day.

2. Customized Specifications

According to customer needs, various customized sizes are also available in the Shanwei area, such as:

  • 3m × 3m: Suitable for small temporary offices or storage rooms;
  • 3m × 8m/9m: Extended by splicing to meet larger space requirements, such as multi-person dormitories or conference rooms;
  • Duplex container houses: Formed by splicing up and down to create a double-story structure. For example, three 40-foot container houses spliced together have dimensions of 11.8 meters × 6.75 meters × 2.8 meters, with a usable area of up to 80 square meters, allowing for the arrangement of a living room, bedrooms, and an office area.

3. Specifications Derived from Shipping Containers

Some container houses are modified based on standard shipping containers, with common sizes including:

  • 20-foot container: External dimensions of 5898 mm × 2352 mm × 2390 mm, with an internal volume of about 33 cubic meters;
  • 40-foot container: External dimensions of 12024 mm × 2352 mm × 2390 mm, with an internal volume of about 67 cubic meters;
  • 45-foot high cube container: With an internal volume of 13.58 meters × 2.34 meters × 2.68 meters, suitable for scenarios requiring higher space.

4. Other Specifications

Some manufacturers offer non-standard sizes, such as 6055 mm × 2435 mm × 2820 mm, or meet special needs by widening/shortening standard containers (e.g., expanding the width from 2.4 meters to 3 meters).
