Self-made Mobile Toilet Assembly

Quản trị 21 tháng 9, 2026

The following methods can be referred to for assembling a self-made mobile toilet:

I. Assembly Using a Water Storage Barrel

  1. Main Structure Construction: Split a water storage barrel in half with an angle grinder. Fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board for mobility. Use wooden strips and self-tapping screws to fix them on the upper side of the barrel to increase height and form a frame. Create an entrance on the side of the barrel, install sponge strips on both sides to form a door frame, embed plastic soft boards to create raised walls, and use the upper half of the barrel as the roof. Apply white waterproof paint to the wooden strips for aesthetics.
  2. Simple Door Making: Use foam strips to拼接 (assemble) discarded honeycomb wooden boards to make a simple door that can be opened and closed.
  3. Indoor Device Installation:
    • Drainage System: Use a hole-making tool to create a hole at the bottom of the barrel and install a drain pipe to form a floor drain. Create holes on the side and bottom to install direct connectors and connect a plastic barrel as a small water storage device.
    • Bathing Facilities: Connect a water pipe-made bath heater. Install a three-way connector below the water inlet pipe and connect a showerhead.
    • Toilet System: Place a toilet and install a water tank. Fix the toilet with glass glue and connect the drain pipe to the sewage barrel. Extend the outlet pipe's three-way connector horizontally to the entrance as the water inlet pipe for the sink, install relevant connectors and hoses, and make a hole in the door.

II. Assembly Using a Water Storage Tank and a Pallet

  1. Mobile Base Construction: Fix universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom of a plastic pallet to form a movable base.
  2. Water Storage and Sewage System: Fix the water storage tank on the pallet and connect the water inlet and outlet pipes, ensuring tightness. If a flushing design is adopted, install a water pump and a water tank; for a dry design, directly connect to a sewage barrel.

III. General Assembly Process

  1. Basic Components: A mobile toilet consists of a frame structure (lightweight metal or high-strength plastic), enclosure panels (waterproof composite materials), a roof (drainage design), a toilet system (flushing/dry), a sewage storage device (sealed cover), and ventilation facilities (natural convection or mechanical devices).
  2. Pre-assembly Preparation: Choose a flat ground, check the components to ensure there are no defects, prepare tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers, and read the drawings or watch demonstration videos.
  3. Main Frame Construction: Arrange the base components according to the drawings, fix them with connecting pins or bolts, and adjust the levelness. Install the columns and ensure they are vertical. Connect the top crossbeams to form a cubic structure and test the overall rigidity.
  4. Enclosure Panel and Roof Installation: Fit the enclosure panels from the bottom up against the frame and fix the seams with pressing strips. Pay attention to the hinge positions for the door panels, install insect screens on the windows and seal them. Lay the main roof panel on the roof, install drainage channels and downspouts, and reserve cable channels (if equipped with a solar system).
  5. Sanitary System Assembly: For a dry design, seal the connection between the toilet base and the frame, and align the sewage barrel with the bottom of the toilet. If using a biodegradant, add it at this time.
