Rural Prefabricated Assembled Houses
Rural prefabricated assembled houses are a rural housing construction model that uses factory-prefabricated components assembled on-site, also known as prefabricated rural houses or fully prefabricated rural houses.

Short Construction Period: Rural prefabricated assembled houses significantly shorten the construction period through industrial production, modular assembly, and integration of green technologies. For example, fully prefabricated rural houses promoted in rural areas of Zhejiang Province have core components such as walls and floor slabs prefabricated to standard in factories and quickly assembled on-site, with the main structure taking only about 7 days to build. Some rural houses assembled using prefabricated parts complete the main structure in just 14 days. This efficient construction method can quickly meet the housing needs of rural residents and reduce waiting times.
Good Earthquake Resistance: Fully prefabricated rural houses typically adopt shear wall structures or light steel structures with mechanical connections at nodes. This structural design and connection method give the houses good earthquake resistance. Their seismic fortification intensity can reach 7 degrees, effectively withstanding the damage caused by natural disasters such as earthquakes and protecting the lives and property of rural residents.
Energy Efficiency and Environmental Protection: In terms of energy efficiency and environmental protection, fully prefabricated rural houses have significant advantages. The main structural materials, especially light steel structures, have high recyclability, reducing resource waste. At the same time, the construction process significantly reduces construction waste, dust, and noise pollution, having a smaller impact on the environment and aligning with the development concept of green buildings.
Wide Application and Promotion: This model has been applied and promoted in many places across China. For example, 29 households in Yuhuang Community, Fucheng District, Mianyang, Sichuan Province, have adopted light steel structure prefabricated rural houses; in 2024, Hebei Province launched a pilot application system for prefabricated rural houses through the "Yunongtong" APP; on June 14, 2024, Changsha City launched a pilot project for the renovation of prefabricated rural dilapidated houses; Zhejiang Province is one of the first batch of national pilot provinces for steel structure prefabricated residential buildings, with the first set of "fully prefabricated" rural house model in Yuyao City and multiple light steel structure rural house demonstration communities built in Lin'an District and other places. In addition, governments in many places have issued relevant technical guidelines and atlases and provided financial incentives to promote their development.
