Rural Integrated Prefabricated Housing

Quản trị 18 tháng 9, 2026

Rural integrated prefabricated housing is a housing model that uses factory-prefabricated components assembled on-site. It features short construction periods, good earthquake resistance, and energy efficiency and environmental protection. It has been applied and promoted in many parts of China, supported by policies, and there are different brands and prices in the market.

Construction Model and Key Advantages
Rural integrated prefabricated housing is built through industrial production, modular assembly, and the integration of green technologies. Components are prefabricated in factories and then transported to the site for assembly, similar to building with Lego blocks. Its core advantages include:

  1. Short Construction Period: The industrial production model significantly reduces on-site construction time, shortening the process from several months in traditional house-building to just a few weeks or even less.
  2. Good Earthquake Resistance: The structure uses light steel frames or high-strength materials, with scientific design enhancing overall stability and enabling effective resistance to natural disasters such as earthquakes.
  3. Energy Efficiency and Environmental Protection: It reduces on-site wet operations, lowering noise pollution and construction waste generation, meeting green building standards. Some houses use high-efficiency insulation materials, double-layer roofs, and sealed doors and windows to maintain comfortable temperatures year-round, reducing heating and cooling energy consumption.
  4. High Comfort: By optimizing the building envelope, it minimizes heat exchange between indoors and outdoors, improving living comfort. Some houses are equipped with fresh air systems to further enhance air quality.
  5. Smart Features: It can integrate smart home systems, allowing remote control of lighting, temperature, and other devices via mobile apps for intelligent home management.

Application and Policy Support
This model has been implemented in many parts of China: 29 households in Yuhuang Community, Fucheng District, Mianyang, Sichuan, have adopted light steel-framed prefabricated rural houses. Hebei Province launched a pilot program in 2022, with a cumulative total of 20,000 rural households choosing this model by the end of 2025, achieving full township coverage across 45 counties (cities, districts), and providing online application services through the "Yunongtong" app. Changsha City launched a pilot program for prefabricated rural dilapidated house renovations in June 2024. At the policy level, many local governments have issued technical guidelines and atlases and provided financial incentives: Hebei Province offers a provincial subsidy of 10,000 yuan per household for newly built prefabricated rural houses, with some cities adding additional incentive measures on this basis.

Market Situation
Prices for rural prefabricated houses vary by brand, materials, and configurations: The Furimei brand in Cangzhou, Hebei, costs about 480 yuan per square meter, the Baitai brand in Ganzhou, Jiangxi, about 800 yuan per square meter, and the Xuanli brand in Heze, Shandong, about 1,270 yuan per square meter. Price differences are mainly influenced by structural type (e.g., light steel or concrete), insulation performance, and smart configurations.
