Rural Fully Prefabricated Integral Housing

Quản trị 18 tháng 9, 2026

Rural fully prefabricated integral housing is a new housing construction model that uses factory-prefabricated components assembled on-site. It features short construction periods, excellent performance, energy efficiency, environmental protection, and a mature technological system, and has been applied and promoted in many places.

Short Construction Period: Compared to traditional brick-and-mortar rural houses, the construction period of rural fully prefabricated integral housing can be significantly shortened. For example, the main structure of the first model house in Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province, took only about 7 days to build; in Henan, a fully reinforced concrete prefabricated house can be built by a few workers with a crane in as little as four hours for a villa, and a whole building can be completed in two days. In some cases, the construction period can be reduced by 60%, quickly meeting farmers' housing needs and minimizing the impact of construction on daily life.

Excellent Performance: Houses built using this model have good overall structural integrity, with seismic fortification intensities reaching 7 to 8 degrees, effectively withstanding natural disasters such as earthquakes. The walls usually incorporate thermal insulation layers, offering better thermal insulation and sound insulation than traditional brick-and-mortar structures, providing farmers with a more comfortable living environment.

Energy Efficiency and Environmental Protection: Rural fully prefabricated integral housing can effectively avoid the risk of rural house collapses and is suitable for complex geological and disaster environments in rural areas. At the same time, it reduces construction waste and carbon emissions during the construction process, significantly cutting down on construction waste, construction dust, and noise, and can also reduce labor costs by 30%. It aligns with the development concept of green buildings and is conducive to protecting the rural ecological environment.

Mature Technological System: It mainly includes prefabricated light steel structures, prefabricated timber structures, steel-timber structures, and prefabricated concrete structures (such as shear wall structures and frame structures). Different regions select appropriate structural types for promotion and application based on their actual conditions and needs. For example, Zhejiang has two types: light steel structures and concrete shear wall structures, while Henan adopts fully reinforced concrete structures.

Promotion in Multiple Regions: This housing construction model has been applied and promoted in many places across China. Zhejiang is one of the first national pilot provinces for steel structure prefabricated housing, having introduced support policies such as financial subsidies and housing loans; in Henan, prefabricated houses cost only over 300 yuan per square meter and come with a 70-year quality guarantee; Yuhuang Community in Fucheng District, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, as well as Hebei and Changsha, have also carried out relevant pilot projects, with local governments introducing relevant technical guidelines, atlases, and providing financial incentives to promote their development.
