Rural Container House Design Drawing

Quản trị 17 tháng 9, 2026

Here are some design ideas and key points for rural container houses:

I. Exterior Style Design

The rural style emphasizes naturalness, simplicity, and warmth. The exterior of container houses can draw inspiration from classic American farmhouse designs, such as adopting a pitched roof. This not only adds a three-dimensional feel to the house but also facilitates drainage and snow sliding. Meanwhile, to enhance the thermal insulation performance of the house, an insulation layer can be added to the outer layer of the container, which is then covered with materials that harmonize with the rural environment, such as wood or wood-like materials, allowing the house to better blend into the natural landscape. For example, the "Prairie Cottage" is based on discarded containers, with wooden veneers installed inside and outside, and cedar boards used on the outer layer, creating a natural and rustic rural atmosphere.

II. Interior Space Layout

Plan the interior space reasonably according to the size and shape of the container. For narrow and long container houses, functional areas such as the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom can be divided in sequence. For instance, in a 29-square-meter container-renovated house with a narrow and long layout, each functional area is divided in sequence to make more efficient use of the space. In cases where space is limited, an open design can be adopted, such as an open kitchen that connects the kitchen with the living room to increase the sense of spaciousness.

III. Interior Decoration Details

  1. Living Room: Adopt a simple country style and choose decorative elements with rural characteristics, such as floral-patterned throw pillows and tree-shaped wallpapers, to add a natural touch. A small bar counter can be set up, which is both practical and decorative.
  2. Kitchen: Design an open kitchen and embed appliances in the cabinets to keep the countertop tidy. The countertop can be paved with artificial stone and paired with white cabinets and brick-patterned finishes to create a warm rural atmosphere.
  3. Bedroom: Due to limited space, a design where a double bed almost fills the space can be chosen. At the same time, niches and shelf brackets can be set up on the walls for storing miscellaneous items and increasing storage space.
  4. Bathroom: The toilet and sink can be placed side by side, and the shower area can be separated by a glass sliding door to save space and ensure dry-wet separation.

IV. Outdoor Space Design

Rural container houses can be equipped with outdoor spaces, such as narrow corridors, decks, or poolside outdoor areas, to increase contact with nature and provide recreational functions. The design of the outdoor space should be in harmony with the interior style, and natural materials should be used for decoration, such as wooden floors and stone materials.
