What is the Size of Rented Container Houses

Quản trị 16 tháng 9, 2026

The sizes of rented container houses vary, covering a range from small to large, and customization is also supported. Here are the specific size introductions:

I. Common Standard Sizes

  1. 3m × 3m × 2.8m This type of container house has a relatively small area and compact interior space, typically accommodating about 2 people for living. Its design is mostly used in scenarios with low space requirements, such as construction site guardrooms and temporary small warehouses, suitable for short-term or auxiliary purposes.

  2. 6m × 3m × 2.8m This is a common size on construction sites, with an interior space that can accommodate about 10 people and high functional flexibility. It is often used in scenarios such as workers' dormitories, temporary toilets, and kitchens, meeting the needs of multiple people living together or basic living facilities.

  3. 7m × 3m × 2.8m This type of container adds a corridor and a canopy on the basis of the 6m specification. When used on the second floor, it can serve as a public area for dormitories. When used alone, the interior space is the same as that of the 6m model. Its design optimizes the living experience and is suitable for scenarios requiring additional activity space.

II. International Standard Container Sizes

  1. 20-foot Standard Container (20GP) The external dimensions are 6.058m (length) × 2.438m (width) × 2.591m (height), and the internal dimensions are approximately 5.898m × 2.352m × 2.393m, with a volume of about 33 cubic meters. This type of container is suitable for independent use or combined construction, commonly seen in scenarios such as construction site dormitories, small shops, and temporary offices, with high space utilization.

  2. 40-foot Standard Container (40GP) The external dimensions are 12.192m × 2.438m × 2.591m, and the internal dimensions are approximately 12.032m × 2.352m × 2.393m, with a volume of about 67 cubic meters. Its length is twice that of the 20GP, providing more spacious space, suitable for scenarios requiring a long and narrow layout, such as corridor-style dormitories or multi-room combined residences.

  3. 40-foot High Cube Container (40HC/HQ) The external dimensions are 12.192m × 2.438m × 2.896m, and the internal dimensions are approximately 12.032m × 2.352m × 2.698m, with a volume of about 76 cubic meters. Its height is 30cm higher than that of the standard container, with an interior clear height of up to 2.7m, suitable for scenarios with height requirements, such as residences and exhibition halls.

III. Customized Sizes In addition to standard specifications, the sizes of container houses can be customized according to customer needs, but structural safety must be ensured. Customized design can meet the needs of special scenarios, such as irregular spaces and specific functional partitions, with high flexibility.
