Interior of Qatar's Container Houses

Quản trị 16 tháng 9, 2026

The interior configurations of container houses used during the Qatar World Cup vary depending on their intended use.

The container houses for athletes' apartments are approximately 18 square meters each and designed as single-occupancy rooms. The interiors are well-equipped and comfortable, featuring an independent bathroom for daily washing and toilet use; a small luggage cabinet for storing luggage and personal items, ensuring the room remains tidy and organized; a bar counter that provides athletes with a simple area for leisure and placing items; a bed to meet athletes' rest needs; and two windows that ensure good ventilation and natural light, keeping the indoor air fresh and well-lit, creating a comfortable living environment for athletes.

The container houses for fans are available as single and double rooms, with overall configurations similar to those of the athletes' apartments, including basic facilities like independent bathrooms. However, there are variations in the actual conditions across different fan villages. Some fan villages have container houses in good condition, similar to those in the athletes' apartments, offering a relatively comfortable living experience. However, some Chinese fans have reported that the container houses in the fan villages they stayed in were in poor condition. Specifically, the rooms only had two single beds, making the space relatively cramped; the toilets had leakage issues, affecting usability and potentially posing hygiene risks; and the air conditioning failed to cool properly. Given Qatar's hot climate, this significantly impacted fans' living comfort, resulting in excessively high indoor temperatures that were unbearable.

Overall, the container houses used during the Qatar World Cup were designed and configured with consideration for the needs of different user groups. However, due to various factors, there were differences in the actual user experience.
