Pu'er Container House Installation
The installation of container houses in Pu'er should be carried out according to standardized procedures based on different types, such as assembled and foldable types. The core steps include foundation preparation, frame assembly, wall installation, and detail handling, while also paying attention to safety protection and material selection.

I. Installation Process for Assembled Container Houses
Bottom Frame Installation
- On a flat ground or workbench, connect the bottom corners of the container to the bottom beams using hexagon socket bolts without tightening them initially. Adjust the diagonal difference of the bottom frame to be ≤3mm before tightening the bolts.
- Install π-shaped secondary beams according to the positioning holes on the long beams, fix them with M5.5×19 self-tapping screws, and reinforce the tops of the secondary beams and bottom beams with ST4.8×16 round-head self-drilling screws.
Floor Laying
- Lay the floor base plates (magnesium oxide boards) along the 6-meter direction. The pre-punched base plates at both ends should be cut at an angle according to the chalk lines. After marking the center line of the π-shaped beams, start laying the floor from one end, with the joints coinciding with the center line of the beams.
- After laying the floor, snap chalk lines (the two chalk lines at the joints deviate 20mm from the center line respectively), fix them with ST4.2×38 cross-recessed flat-head self-tapping screws at intervals of 300-350mm. Finally, sand the joints, apply PVC special floor adhesive, and lay the floor covering.
II. Installation Process for Foldable Container Houses
Frame Unfolding and Support
- Check the stability of the steel wire ropes, lift the main frame and unfold it smoothly, and place support rods in the middle of the container body to maintain stability.
Wall Installation
- Push open one wall and fix it with fastening screws, then push open the other wall with doors and windows and tighten the screws. Lift the foldable container house to the predetermined position and lower it after ensuring that there is no one around.
III. Key Precautions
Safety Protection
- Non-professionals are prohibited from standing under the foldable container house or the crane to avoid the risk of falling objects. When installing foldable houses, ensure that the site is free of obstacles.
Materials and Structure
- The frames of container houses are mostly made of channel steel, and the walls and ceilings use sandwich panels (such as rock wool boards or polystyrene boards). Ensure that the fire resistance and seismic performance of the materials meet the standards.
- Foldable houses have fewer welded parts, but it is necessary to check the tightness of the bolts at the connections to prevent loosening during transportation or use.
Transportation and Storage
- The transportation cost of foldable houses is low (a 6-meter truck can carry 6 sets). They can be stacked in multiple layers during storage, but long-term exposure to a humid environment should be avoided to prevent corrosion.
IV. Application Scenarios and Advantages
Container houses are suitable for fields such as temporary living, post-disaster relocation, and construction site housing. Their advantages include quick installation (can be operated by 2-3 people), recyclability, and strong fire and wind resistance. For example, foldable houses can be folded repeatedly under standardized operations and have a long service life.
