Wiring Methods for Prefabricated Slab Houses

Quản trị 18 tháng 9, 2026

The following wiring methods can be referred to for prefabricated slab houses, and it is necessary to ensure safety and compliance in combination with structural characteristics:

I. Wiring Using Ceiling or Roof Space

  1. Wiring Inside the Ceiling: If the house has a ceiling, the electrical conduit can be fixed to the ceiling joists, and wires can be laid horizontally or vertically through the ceiling space. Ensure that the conduit is firmly fixed to prevent wire vibration due to shaking. At the same time, use flame-retardant conduits and maintain the integrity of the wire insulation to prevent the risk of electric leakage.
  2. Wiring Through Prefabricated Slab Pipes on the Roof: If there are straight hollow pipes (such as ventilation or structural pipes) reserved inside the prefabricated slabs, shielded wires can be threaded through these pipes to complete the concealed wiring layout. Before threading the wires, clean out any debris in the pipes to avoid scratching the wire insulation. After threading, seal the pipe openings with fireproof materials.

II. Wiring at Wall or Slab Joint Positions

  1. Wiring by Cutting Grooves in the Walls: When cutting grooves in non-load-bearing walls, use professional tools to cut horizontal or vertical grooves with a depth of no less than 2.5 cm, avoiding damage to the wall reinforcement or the connection points of the prefabricated slabs. Lay flame-retardant PVC conduits in the grooves, ensuring that the total cross-sectional area of the wires does not exceed 40% of the internal cross-sectional area of the conduits. After cutting the grooves, fill them with cement mortar and repair the wall surface.
  2. Wiring Inside Slab Joints: If there are no reserved holes in the prefabricated slabs and the width of the slab joints is ≥3 cm, conduits can be laid inside the slab joints and fixed with high-strength cement mortar after threading the wires. Ensure that there are no cracks or looseness in the slab joints to prevent conduit displacement due to house settlement in the later stage.

III. Wiring on the Surface of Prefabricated Slabs or Through Reserved Holes

  1. Laying Conduits on the Surface: If wiring needs to be done on the surface of the prefabricated slabs, first fix flame-retardant PVC conduits (with a diameter selected according to the number of wires). Keep the spacing between the conduits uniform and fix them with pipe clamps every 50 cm. Use a pipe bender to make arc-shaped elbows at the conduit bends to prevent wire damage.
  2. Threading Wires Through Reserved Holes: If there are reserved wire-threading holes in the prefabricated slabs, sand the burrs inside the holes, and insert insulating sleeves before threading the wires to prevent electric leakage caused by friction between the wires and the hole walls. After threading, seal the hole openings with fireproof putty to prevent the entry of insects and rodents.

IV. Safety and Compliance Precautions

  • Prohibition of Structural Damage: It is strictly prohibited to cut grooves or drill holes randomly on load-bearing walls, stressed parts of prefabricated slabs, or beams and columns to avoid affecting the structural safety of the house.
  • Material Selection: Flame-retardant conduits and wires that comply with national standards must be used to avoid the risk of fire caused by non-standard materials.
  • Professional Construction: After the wiring is completed, an insulation resistance test should be carried out to ensure that there are no short circuits or electric leakage phenomena in the circuits, and construction drawings should be kept for later maintenance.
