How About Prefabricated Shear Wall Houses

Quản trị 18 tháng 9, 2026

Prefabricated shear wall houses offer advantages such as fast construction speed, reliable quality, strong earthquake resistance, and environmental protection and energy efficiency, making them an efficient and safe structural form in modern architecture.

Significantly Improved Construction Speed

Traditional house construction requires on-site completion of processes such as wall building, formwork erection, and pouring, which are greatly affected by weather and labor, with construction periods lasting for months. In contrast, prefabricated shear walls are produced in advance in factories and only need to be assembled on-site, with the main structure taking as little as 7 days to build. The prefabricated system can reduce on-site labor by 30%-80% and shorten the construction period by about 50%, greatly improving construction efficiency.

Stable and Reliable Quality

The factory production environment is controllable, equipped with professional equipment and a strict quality inspection system to ensure that each process meets standards. Compared with on-site construction, prefabricated shear walls have better indicators such as strength and flatness, with high wall dimensional accuracy, reducing the need for later repairs. The proportions and properties of materials such as steel bars and concrete are optimized, ensuring overall stable quality.

Outstanding Earthquake Resistance

The reinforced concrete shear wall structure itself has strong earthquake resistance. Combined with scientific design and precise installation, it can effectively disperse seismic forces and reduce house damage. The bottom reinforced area of the shear wall is a key design feature:

  • The reinforced area range takes the larger value of 1/10 of the total house height and the height of the bottom two floors (24 meters is the dividing line; if it exceeds 24 meters, take the maximum of the two floors and 1/10; otherwise, take the bottom floor).
  • Specific measures include increased reinforcement density, improved material strength, and structural reinforcement to ensure that the wall is less likely to break during deformation.
  • The reinforced area can use prefabricated components, but special design is required to meet seismic requirements.

Significant Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Effects

Factory-prefabricated components reduce on-site construction waste and dust pollution, meeting the requirements of green construction. Efficient thermal insulation materials such as graphene polystyrene boards are laid in the middle of the walls, which can significantly reduce heat transfer, improve thermal insulation performance, reduce energy consumption for air conditioning and heating, and achieve warmth in winter and coolness in summer.

Optimized Materials and Construction

Prefabricated shear walls are composed of steel bars, concrete, and thermal insulation materials:

  • Steel bars provide tensile strength, and concrete provides compressive strength, working together to enhance wall stability.
  • Thermal insulation materials are usually graphene polystyrene boards, precisely laid in the middle of the walls to prevent condensation and mold.
  • The wall thickness ranges from 280mm to 320mm, selected according to the house height, number of floors, and seismic requirements. Areas with more floors or higher seismic requirements use thicker walls, while 280mm is sufficient in plain areas.

Strict Installation Requirements

Before installation, foundation treatment and positioning and layout are required to ensure accurate wall positions. After using lifting equipment to lift the walls to the designated positions, the verticality and levelness need to be adjusted. Finally, the walls are fixed to the foundation or adjacent walls through connectors to ensure structural integrity.
