Prefabricated Pile Foundations for Buildings

Quản trị 18 tháng 9, 2026

Prefabricated pile foundations for buildings are pre-made pile foundation materials manufactured in factories or on construction sites, characterized by high load-bearing capacity and rapid construction speed, widely used in building foundation engineering. The following provides a detailed introduction from aspects such as types, characteristics, production, construction, parameters, and development:

Main Types: These include solid concrete square piles, prestressed concrete pipe piles, and steel piles. Solid concrete square piles have a square cross-section and stable load-bearing capacity; prestressed concrete pipe piles enhance crack resistance through prestressing techniques, suitable for soft soil foundations; steel piles (such as H-shaped steel piles) offer high strength and convenient construction but come at a higher cost.

Core Characteristics:

  • Advantages: High load-bearing capacity, capable of withstanding significant loads; rapid construction speed, suitable for large-scale projects; customizable length and cross-section, facilitating quality control.
  • Limitations: Construction noise and vibrations have a significant impact on the environment; relatively small cross-sectional dimensions limit the load-bearing capacity of single piles, necessitating an increase in the number of piles; weak penetration capability through hard soil layers.

Production Process (Taking concrete prefabricated piles as an example):

  1. Skeleton Preparation: Steel bars are straightened and cut, then threaded through molds to form skeletons. Steel wires are wound and welded for fixation, and joint bases are installed.
  2. Concrete Pouring: The inner walls of the molds are coated with a release agent. Concrete is mixed according to the specified ratio and poured into the molds. The edges are manually trimmed, and the molds are closed and tightened with screws.
  3. Molding and Curing: The piles are formed by rotating in a centrifuge. After curing, they are placed in a steam curing chamber to increase strength and prevent cracking. Finally, they are demolded and coated with identification codes before transportation.

Construction Methods:

  • Hammering Method: Utilizes a heavy hammer to impact and drive the piles into the soil, suitable for dense soil layers but generates significant noise.
  • Static Pressing Method: Presses the piles into the ground using static pressure, producing less noise and suitable for soft soil foundations.
  • Vibration Method: Employs vibrators to reduce soil resistance, suitable for sandy soil layers.
Construction Process: Pile driving machine positioning → pile lifting and stabilization → pile driving and jointing, with verticality deviation controlled at ≤0.5% and pile spacing ≥3 times the pile diameter.

Key Parameters:

  • Pile Length: Single sections prefabricated on-site should be ≤30m, while those prefabricated in factories should be ≤12m, adjustable according to transportation conditions.
  • Reinforcement Ratio: Hammer-driven piles should have a reinforcement ratio of ≥0.8%, while pressed-in piles should have ≥0.6%; special conditions (such as L/D≥80, earthquake zones) require an increase to 1.0%-1.2%.
  • Concrete Strength: Should be no less than C25, with a protective layer thickness of ≥30mm.
  • Joint Limitations: Should not exceed 2 joints, with priority given to sulfur cement anchoring or welded joints.

Development Status: The prefabricated pile industry in China began in 1944, with a production volume of 423 million meters in 2024. Enterprises are concentrated in South China, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Bohai Rim regions. Technological directions include automated production (such as the automated assembly line of Zhongchun Hi-Tech) and green transformation (a 70% reduction in mud discharge). The national 14th Five-Year Plan supports industry development, and the municipal quality supervision station implements a 'one pile, one code' system to strengthen quality traceability.
