Seismic Reinforcement of Prefabricated Panel Houses

Quản trị 18 tháng 9, 2026

Seismic reinforcement of prefabricated panel houses can be achieved through various methods, requiring the selection of appropriate solutions based on the structural characteristics of the house and strict adherence to construction specifications and acceptance standards.

I. Foundation and Structural Reinforcement

  1. Foundation Reinforcement: Enhance the load-bearing capacity of the foundation by increasing its size, deepening its embedment, or adding steel reinforcement mesh; simultaneously, inject reinforcement agents or sealing materials to improve the foundation's seismic performance. This method is suitable for houses with insufficient foundation bearing capacity or uneven settlement.
  2. Structural Reinforcement: Add steel beams, columns, or plates at key locations such as walls, stairs, and roofs to form an integrated support system; alternatively, inject reinforced concrete into the walls to enhance their shear resistance. For example, adding structural columns at the intersections of longitudinal and transverse walls can effectively constrain wall deformation.

II. Specialized Reinforcement Techniques

  1. Seismic Isolation Reinforcement: Install spring isolators, rubber isolators, or other devices in the foundation or structure to isolate the transmission path of seismic energy, reducing the impact of horizontal and vertical seismic forces on the house. This method is applicable to areas with moderate to high seismic intensity and can reduce seismic response by 30%-50%.
  2. Floor Reinforcement: Adopt a double-sided reinforcement method by adding a 40mm-thick reinforced concrete layer to the upper and lower surfaces of the prefabricated floor, or enhance the floor's load-bearing capacity by bonding carbon fiber sheets or steel plates. For floors with cracks, pressure grouting repair should be conducted before reinforcement.
  3. Grouting and Steel Mesh Reinforcement: Perform pressure grouting on walls or foundations to fill voids and enhance overall integrity; apply a steel mesh to the wall surface followed by plastering to form a composite structural layer, effectively inhibiting crack propagation.

III. Construction and Acceptance Points

  1. Material Selection: Use steel, concrete, and reinforcement materials that meet seismic fortification requirements, such as Q345-grade steel and concrete above C30.
  2. Construction Specifications: Reinforcement construction should be carried out by professional teams. For example, when implanting steel bars, control the drilling depth and cleanliness; when bonding carbon fiber sheets, ensure the flatness of the base layer and the thickness of the adhesive layer.
  3. Quality Inspection: After reinforcement, conduct load-bearing tests, deformation monitoring, and seismic performance evaluations, such as verifying whether the structural natural vibration period meets design requirements through dynamic testing.
  4. Compliance Review: All reinforcement plans must be designed and reviewed by professional institutions, with the construction process supervised by a supervision unit and ultimately accepted by the construction authorities.

Precautions: Before reinforcement, conduct a comprehensive inspection of the house to identify damaged areas and their extent; avoid causing secondary damage to the original structure during construction; after reinforcement, perform regular maintenance, such as checking for steel plate corrosion or carbon fiber sheet bulging.
