Prefabricated Panel House Roof Design

Quản trị 18 tháng 9, 2026

Common roof designs for prefabricated panel houses include conical roofs and pitched roofs, with specific design and construction points as follows:

I. Conical Roof

  1. Structural Form
The conical roof is assembled by pre-fabricating the roof structure into a circular tray, placing it at the center of the house, and connecting it to the walls with square timbers to form a complete structure. This design is suitable for scenarios requiring unique shapes or space utilization, such as small observation houses or distinctive buildings.

  2. Materials and Construction Details

    • Top Closure Treatment: Place foam boards matching the roof size, fill gaps with foam agent, and seal and fix them with small wooden planks. Cut and polish the excess edges to ensure flatness, ensuring waterproofing and aesthetics.
    • Skylight Installation: Install an oval frame at the top as a skylight, lay waterproof foam and waterproof tarpaulin externally, and carefully handle corners to prevent water accumulation and leakage, extending the roof's service life.
    • Prefabricated Panel Connection: Fill and compact sealing materials between the roof prefabricated panels to prevent rainwater from seeping into the interior through gaps.

II. Pitched Roof

  1. Structural Characteristics
The pitched roof is constructed by building a sloped structure with prefabricated panels, forming a drainage slope suitable for areas with high rainfall. Its design should focus on gap treatment at connections and seismic performance.

  2. Construction Points

    • Gap Treatment: Fill gaps between prefabricated panels with waterproof mortar or sealant, and lay waterproof membranes to prevent cracking and leakage caused by thermal expansion and contraction or rainwater erosion.
    • Seismic Reinforcement: Add horizontal tie bars or diagonal braces to the supporting structure of the pitched roof to enhance overall stability, especially suitable for earthquake-prone areas.

III. Potential Problems and Improvement Suggestions

  1. Cracks and Leakage
Traditional prefabricated panel roofs are prone to cracks due to material aging or improper construction, leading to water leakage. It is recommended to regularly inspect the roof condition, promptly repair cracks, and reapply waterproof coatings.
  2. Impact of Thermal Expansion and Contraction
Prefabricated panels may deform due to temperature changes. It is necessary to reserve expansion joints during construction and fill them with elastic sealing materials to reduce the risk of cracking.

The roof design of prefabricated panel houses should combine functional requirements, climatic conditions, and construction feasibility. Through refined construction and regular maintenance, their durability and practicality can be effectively improved.
