Dimensions of Prefabricated Panel Houses

Quản trị 18 tháng 9, 2026

The common dimensions of prefabricated panel houses are as follows:

Span: The span of a prefabricated panel is a key parameter for measuring its lateral coverage capacity. The longest standard span for residential prefabricated panels is 4.2 meters, which can be directly purchased and used without customization. If the project requires a span exceeding 4.2 meters, a customization request must be submitted to the manufacturer. Within the standard span range, the length modulus typically increases in increments of 300mm, with common specifications including 3000mm, 3300mm, 3600mm, 3900mm, and 4200mm. This modular design facilitates flexible combination during construction based on the building's bay dimensions, reducing material waste. For example, if a room has a bay of 3.6 meters, a 3600mm prefabricated panel can be directly selected without additional cutting.

Width: The width design of prefabricated panels primarily considers structural stability and construction convenience. Currently, the mainstream width specifications on the market are 500mm and 600mm. A 500mm-wide prefabricated panel is suitable for areas with lower load requirements, such as non-load-bearing partitions or lightweight floors; a 600mm width is more commonly used for load-bearing structures, such as the living rooms and bedrooms in residential buildings, which are the main functional spaces. The width selection should be combined with the building's floor plan layout and load calculation results. For example, in areas with larger spans, appropriately increasing the width can enhance overall stiffness and reduce deflection deformation.

Thickness: The thickness of a prefabricated panel directly affects its load-bearing capacity and space for pipeline installation. Common thickness specifications are 120mm and 150mm, with 120mm being the standard configuration that can meet the floor load requirements of ordinary residential buildings. If water pipes, electrical conduits, or other facilities need to be embedded in the floor slab, a prefabricated panel with a thickness of 150mm must be selected. This is because pipeline installation weakens the effective cross-section of the floor slab, and a 150mm thickness provides sufficient concrete cover to ensure structural safety. For example, in kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas requiring extensive pipeline passage, a 150mm-thick prefabricated panel is a better choice.

It should be noted that the selection of prefabricated panel dimensions must strictly adhere to design specifications and be verified in conjunction with specific project conditions. For example, in earthquake-prone areas, it may be necessary to increase the panel thickness or reinforcement ratio to enhance structural ductility; in large-span spaces, calculations must be performed to determine whether pre-stressed technology or custom ultra-long panels are required.
