How to Build a House Using Prefabricated Panels

Quản trị 19 tháng 9, 2026

There are several construction methods for building houses using prefabricated panels, including modular construction, using prefabricated components for assembly, and modular building models. Here are the details:

Modular Construction Method: This involves assembling specially made prefabricated panels without the need for steel bars and cement. First, the overall framework of the house is erected, and then the prefabricated panels are assembled. The gaps between each panel are filled with foam adhesive, and notches are reserved on the sides for light windows and entrances. When constructing the roof, a circular skylight tray is supported in the middle and fixed with crossbeams, with a thick wooden board placed on top. The exterior walls are first wrapped with a waterproof foam layer, then covered with patterned waterproof tarpaulins, and secured with nails at the edges. The top of the house is equipped with transparent glass for lighting, and the interior crossbeams are filled with foam boards and then nailed with an additional layer of wood. This method is relatively simple in construction, requiring lower construction skills and equipment, and is suitable for scenarios with low building requirements and limited budgets, such as temporary housing and simple warehouses.

Using Prefabricated Components for Assembly: First, the foundation is leveled and a cushion layer is poured. Foundation piles are installed to assemble crossbeams, and after the concrete sets, footplates are installed, drilled with a drill, and fixed with expansion screws to secure the foundation piles to the cushion layer. Prefabricated foundation piles weighing about 5 tons are installed, and crossbeams are assembled like building blocks. After horizontal measurement and adjustment, they are fixed with nuts, and the gaps between the crossbeams and foundation piles are filled with expanding foam and sealed with cement. Then, soil is backfilled to pour the foundation, completing the foundation framework structure. The 5-ton foundation piles are fixed only through footplates, and the crossbeams are quickly connected using mortise-and-tenon joints. Stairs are hoisted like building blocks, then a 5-centimeter-thick floor slab is laid, and finally, all component gaps are grouted. This method combines the convenience of prefabricated components with a certain degree of structural stability, suitable for projects that have certain requirements for building quality but do not want a long construction period.

Modular Building Model: The building is disassembled into independent modules, manufactured in a factory, and then transported to the construction site for assembly. The ceiling, floor, water and electricity pipelines, etc., of the house are all prefabricated on the factory assembly line and then assembled on-site like building blocks. For example, in the factory, the ceiling, walls, and waterproof layers of bathrooms are manufactured separately, some scattered components are produced individually, and then sent to the final assembly station for completion. Parallel operations are adopted, along with the use of automated vertical warehouses and intelligent production lines, which can shorten the construction period by more than 60% compared to traditional construction methods. This model is efficient and quality-controllable, suitable for large-scale construction projects such as residential communities and commercial buildings.
