Prefabricated Panel Elevated Foundation for House

Quản trị 19 tháng 9, 2026

Using prefabricated panels to elevate the foundation of a house is a common and effective method for moisture prevention. The following provides a detailed introduction from three aspects: construction method, advantages, and applicable scenarios.

Construction Method: During foundation construction, after the ground beam is poured, the height of the backfill soil needs to be precisely controlled, keeping it at a position 30 - 50 centimeters above the ground level, and compacted to ensure the density of the backfill soil. Subsequently, prefabricated panels are used to lay the elevated layer. During the laying process, the positions of the prefabricated panels should be carefully adjusted to prevent misalignment and ensure the flatness and stability of the elevated layer. After the prefabricated panels are laid, the gaps between them are filled with concrete to enhance the integrity and sealing of the elevated layer, preventing moisture from seeping up through the gaps.

Advantages:

  • Effective Moisture and Pest Prevention: The prefabricated panels separate the house from the ground, creating a relatively independent space. This space facilitates air circulation, preventing moisture from accumulating at the bottom of the house and fundamentally solving the problem of moisture damage. At the same time, the elevated layer between the house and the ground blocks the passage of insects and ants from the ground into the house, providing good pest prevention.
  • Long-lasting Durability: Compared with traditional earth backfilling methods, although the initial cost of the prefabricated panel elevated layer may be slightly higher, in the long run, it reduces a significant amount of labor and material consumption. During subsequent floor pouring, elevation and leveling work are more convenient and quick, and there will be no ground subsidence issues caused by improper earth backfilling, making it a one-time solution.
  • Relatively Low Cost: The cost of a prefabricated panel elevated layer is approximately 100 yuan per square meter, which is more cost-effective compared to layered backfilling methods, offering high cost-performance.

Applicable Scenarios: In humid regions, due to climatic conditions, the ground moisture is high, and houses are prone to moisture damage. Using a prefabricated panel elevated foundation can effectively solve this problem. Additionally, this foundation treatment method is also commonly used in places that require moisture and pest prevention, such as warehouses and basements.
