Prefabricated House Transportation

Quản trị 17 tháng 9, 2026

Prefabricated house transportation is a crucial step that involves disassembling buildings into independent unit modules, prefabricating them in factories, and then transporting them to the site for assembly. Taking the export of prefabricated houses in China as an example, relevant departments have taken various measures to ensure their smooth transportation overseas.

Transportation Mode

Prefabricated house transportation adopts a modular transportation approach. Taking China's exports as an example, at Dongguan Port in Guangdong, modular houses with standard container dimensions are hoisted onto ocean-going giants and shipped to ASEAN markets such as Indonesia and Vietnam, and even as far as Dammam Port in Saudi Arabia. These building modules have completed all processes, including water and electricity installation and interior decoration, in the factory. Upon arrival at the destination, they can be directly assembled on-site, significantly shortening the construction cycle and improving construction efficiency.

Customs Safeguard Measures

To ensure the smooth transportation of prefabricated houses overseas, customs and other departments have implemented a series of effective measures.

  • Early Coordination and Process Optimization: Shatian Customs actively coordinates with enterprises, gains early knowledge of cargo export plans, opens green channels, and coordinates with ports to prioritize berth arrangements. At the same time, it assists enterprises in streamlining business processes such as customs declaration, inspection, and exit, enhancing logistics turnover efficiency, and ensuring that prefabricated houses can complete export procedures quickly and efficiently.
  • Enhanced Supervision Methods: A supervision method combining on-site inspections, video surveillance, and data comparison is adopted to strengthen the supervision of modular house loading onto ships. This comprehensive supervision model enables "non-intrusive" customs clearance throughout the loading process, ensuring the effectiveness of supervision while minimizing interference with normal transportation operations of enterprises.
  • Guidance on Safe Operations: Given the nature of the cargo, which is transported in the form of rods and panels, customs guides and supervises ports in adopting specialized handling connection processes and safety precautions, and合理安排 (reasonably arranges) vessel stowage. Through these measures, the safety of the cargo during transportation is ensured, losses and delays caused by improper cargo stowage are avoided, and safe and efficient customs clearance of the cargo is guaranteed.
