Prefabricated House Painting Process
The painting process for prefabricated houses requires selecting an appropriate solution based on the material type, usage scenario, and construction conditions. Common processes include fluorocarbon paint pre-coated panels (factory prefabrication), roof renovation painting (on-site construction), and general house painting procedures (on-site reference).

I. Fluorocarbon Paint Pre-Coated Panel Process (Factory Prefabrication)
1. Substrate Treatment
Select metal substrates such as aluminum panels and aluminized zinc panels. Remove surface oil, impurities through alkaline washing, acid washing, and pure water rinsing, followed by chemical conversion treatment to form a dense conversion film. This step enhances the adhesion between the substrate and the coating while improving corrosion resistance.
2. Coating Application
- Primer Application: Use a precision roller coater to uniformly apply epoxy or polyester primer, which is then cured at a high temperature above 200°C to form a solid base layer, providing stable support for subsequent coatings.
- Topcoat Application: When roller coating fluorocarbon paint, achieve decorative effects such as stone-like or wood-grain patterns by controlling the roller pattern. After another high-temperature curing, a durable paint film is formed. Fluorocarbon paint offers excellent weather resistance and UV resistance, maintaining color stability for an extended period.
3. Finished Product Protection
After the paint film cools, cover it with a transparent protective film to prevent scratches during transportation or installation. Finally, precisely cut it according to the order dimensions.
Advantages: Standardized production in a dust-free workshop ensures stable paint film performance, with material utilization exceeding 99%. It offers rich decorative effects and is suitable for high-end building exteriors or roofs.
II. Roof Renovation Painting Process (On-Site Construction)
1. Base Layer Treatment
- Concrete Roof: Remove floating dust and moss, repair cracks wider than 0.3mm, and level depressions to ensure a flat base layer.
- Metal Roof: Remove old paint layers, grind rust, apply anti-rust primer, and lightly grind to ensure uniform primer coverage and prevent rust spread.
2. Spraying Application
- Primer Spraying: Use high-pressure airless spraying technology, controlling the thickness between 50-80μm. Construct in sections perpendicular to the roof slope to ensure no missed areas.
- Topcoat Layering: After the primer dries, apply the topcoat in 2-3 layers, with each layer thickness ≤30μm and a total thickness of 120-150μm to avoid sagging or cracking due to excessive single-layer thickness.
3. Finishing Treatment
Apply a waterproof reinforcement layer in areas prone to water accumulation, such as ridges and gutters. Grind the internal and external corners into rounded transitions to reduce stress concentration and enhance waterproof performance.
Characteristics: Select materials with strong weather resistance based on climatic conditions (e.g., rainy areas), focusing on reinforcing crack repair and waterproofing to extend the roof's service life.
III. General House Painting Procedures (On-Site Construction Reference)
- Pretreatment: Clean wall cracks and oil stains, fill uneven areas with putty to ensure a solid and loose-free base layer.
- Putty Application and Grinding: Apply putty in layers and grind until smooth, then clean the dust to provide a flat base for the coating.
- Primer and Topcoat Spraying: The primer enhances adhesion, while the topcoat controls uniformity to avoid brush marks or color differences.
- Post-Treatment: Inspect and repair defects such as blistering or missed coatings to ensure a complete coating.
Note: Factory prefabrication processes focus on standardization and efficiency, while on-site construction requires strengthening base layer treatment and waterproof performance. The specific solution should be comprehensively designed based on materials, scenarios, and climate.
