Prefabricated House Installation Process

Quản trị 18 tháng 9, 2026

The installation process of prefabricated houses adopts a modular construction model, achieving efficient construction through a combination of factory prefabrication and on-site assembly. The specific process is as follows:

I. Factory Prefabrication Stage

  1. Modular Integrated Production
    Core components such as ceilings, floors, walls, water and electricity pipelines, and bathroom waterproof layers are integrated within the modules and assembled through automated production lines. High-precision molds and CNC equipment are used during production to control errors within millimeters, ensuring standardization of module dimensions and interfaces.
  2. Information Traceability Management
    Each module is equipped with a unique 'ID card' that includes project name, model, production date, and quality inspection information. Full lifecycle traceability is achieved through QR codes or RFID tags, facilitating quick matching of design drawings and construction requirements during on-site installation.

II. On-site Installation Stage

  1. Foundation Construction and Positioning
    After completing foundation treatment, the module installation coordinates are determined through total station surveying and positioning, and connection components or anchor bolts are pre-embedded. The foundation flatness error must be controlled within ±2mm to provide conditions for precise module docking.
  2. Module Hoisting and Temporary Fixation
    Modules are hoisted in the designed sequence using tower cranes or truck cranes, with priority given to installing core modules on the ground floor (such as stairwells and elevator shafts), followed by assembly layer by layer upwards. Special-shaped components such as bay windows and balconies require separate hoisting and are temporarily supported to prevent overturning.
  3. Structural Connection and Stability Reinforcement
    Modules are permanently connected through three methods:
    • Welding: Used for frame connections of steel modules, requiring full welding and anti-rust treatment;
    • Bolted Connection: Suitable for concrete modules, using high-strength bolts with positioning pins to ensure accuracy;
    • Cast-in-place Concrete: Micro-expansion concrete is poured at module joints to fill gaps and enhance overall integrity.
  4. Detail Handling and Acceptance
    After completing the connection of water and electricity pipelines, fine leveling of cast-in-place floors, and construction of decorative layers, air tightness, water tightness, and structural load-bearing capacity tests are conducted to ensure compliance with design specifications.

III. Technical Advantages and Case Study

This model reduces the construction period by more than 60% compared to traditional construction methods, decreases on-site labor by approximately 50%, and simultaneously reduces noise, dust, and construction waste pollution. For example, a public housing project in Shenzhen, Guangdong, used 6,028 concrete modules for assembly, compressing the completion and delivery time from 2.5-3 years to 1 year, demonstrating the efficiency and reliability of modular construction.
