Prefabricated House Export
In recent years, China's export of prefabricated houses has witnessed remarkable growth, becoming a distinctive and advantageous category in equipment manufacturing exports, with a wide range of export markets, prominent advantages, and policy support.

Strong Export Growth Momentum
From the perspective of data growth, from 2015 to 2025, China's export volume of prefabricated buildings nearly tripled over a decade, with a year-on-year growth rate of up to 45% in the first quarter of 2026. In specific cases, in the first seven months of this year, the Huangpu Customs' Shatian Customs supervised the export of modular houses with a value of 548 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.3 times; in the first four months of this year, enterprises across the country exported movable houses worth 1.68 billion yuan through the Shenzhen port, a year-on-year increase of 19.6%, with products exported to more than 150 countries and regions; during the same period, enterprises in the Guangzhou Customs area exported movable houses worth 1.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 38.1%.
Wide Export Market Distribution
In the ASEAN market, due to the rapid development of the digital economy and a high demand for computing infrastructure, China's prefabricated houses have gained increasing recognition for their advantages such as short construction periods and controllable quality. For example, the number of modular houses shipped from Dongguan Port to ASEAN markets such as Indonesia and Vietnam has significantly increased. In the global market, China's prefabricated houses cover more than 20 countries and regions, including the United Kingdom and Australia, with a rich variety of product categories, including high-end office buildings, hotels, schools, and modular data centers.
Obvious Export Advantages
Prefabricated houses complete most of the processes in the factory and can be directly assembled on-site after arriving at the destination, enabling rapid delivery and significantly shortening the construction cycle; adopting an industrial production method reduces on-site construction links, making them environmentally friendly and energy-efficient; they can be customized according to the climate and structural requirements of the project location, demonstrating strong adaptability; the stable factory production environment facilitates the standardization of material processing and dimensional control, ensuring controllable quality.
Strong Policy Support
Customs and other departments continue to optimize regulatory processes, expand the coverage of "water-to-water transfer" routes, promote port interconnection, and explore the integration of multimodal transportation modes to provide more effective support for the export of prefabricated houses.
