Prefabricated House Beam Installation
The installation of prefabricated house beams requires adherence to key steps such as construction preparation, understanding of beam characteristics, and reference to installation standards. The specific process is as follows:

I. Construction Preparation Phase
Construction preparation is the foundation for the installation of prefabricated beams and must be carried out simultaneously in terms of technology, materials, and on-site work.
- Technical Preparation: Before construction, a design drawing review must be completed, focusing on verifying the specifications and models of the prefabricated beams, the positions of reserved embedments, the connection details of nodes, and the load transfer paths to ensure that the design meets structural safety requirements. For particularly hazardous and large-scale projects (e.g., when the weight of a single prefabricated beam is ≥10t), a specialized construction plan must be prepared and reviewed by experts to mitigate construction risks.
- Material Preparation:
- Component Inspection: Upon arrival at the site, the prefabricated beams must be inspected for appearance quality (e.g., cracks, honeycombing), the positional deviation of embedded parts (allowable deviation ≤5mm), and the geometric dimensional deviation of the components (length deviation ≤±5mm) to ensure compliance with design requirements.
- Material Readiness: Connection materials (grouting materials, sleeves, bedding mortar) must meet relevant standards (e.g., grouting material fluidity ≥300mm, 28-day compressive strength ≥85MPa). Installation equipment (lifting equipment, lifting gear, level gauges) and auxiliary materials (gaskets, sealants) must be available in advance.
- On-site Preparation: The work area must be cleared to ensure that the installation position of the prefabricated beams is level and that the elevation meets design requirements, preventing installation deviations caused by an uneven base.
II. Understanding of Prefabricated Beam Characteristics
Prefabricated beams are core components of prefabricated concrete frame structures and include two types: prefabricated solid beams and prefabricated composite beams. The former are entirely prefabricated and are suitable for scenarios with smaller spans and heavier loads; the latter consist of a prefabricated base plate and a cast-in-place layer, suitable for buildings with large spans or requiring flexible wiring. All prefabricated beams are manufactured in factories through standardized processes, cured to meet standards, transported to the construction site, and installed and fixed through mechanical lifting.
III. Reference to Installation Standards
The Hainan Provincial Engineering Construction Local Standard, Technical Standards for the Production and Installation of Prefabricated Concrete Components, sets specific requirements for the fabrication, materials, and connections of prefabricated beams:
- Fabrication Requirements: The concrete strength grade and steel reinforcement cover thickness of the prefabricated beams must comply with the design documents, with the anchorage length deviation of embedded parts ≤±5mm.
- Connection Requirements: Node connections must use mechanical connections (e.g., sleeve grouting connections) or welding. The grouting material must be full and dense, with the exposed threads of the sleeve ≤2 turns, ensuring that the connection strength is not lower than that of the base material.
- Acceptance Requirements: After installation, the verticality of the components (allowable deviation ≤H/1000 and ≤10mm) and surface flatness (allowable deviation ≤5mm) must be inspected. Only after passing the inspection can the next construction phase proceed.
By strictly following the above process, the installation quality of prefabricated beams can be ensured, safeguarding the structural safety and durability of prefabricated buildings.
