Prefabricated Finished Container House

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

A prefabricated finished container house is a form of housing that breaks down the house into standardized modules, completes most of the construction processes in the factory, including the main structure, water and electricity pipelines, and interior decoration, and then transports them to the site for rapid assembly into a complete building, similar to building with building blocks.

Construction Mode:

  • Modular construction is a more integrated mode within prefabricated construction. The entire building is divided into independent housing modules, and processes such as the main structure, water and electricity pipelines, bathroom waterproofing, sanitary equipment, cabinets, and wardrobes are completed inside the factory. Afterward, they are transported to the project site for assembly. Unlike traditional construction, which proceeds in a sequential manner, modular construction adopts a parallel operation mode, with multiple processes carried out simultaneously. For example, in a structural modular intelligent factory in Guangdong, a house is disassembled into six components: the bottom, top, and four sides. These components are produced simultaneously on multiple sub-production lines and finally assembled into a complete box at the end of the production line, with a daily output of up to 50 modules.

Advantages and Characteristics:

  • Short Construction Period: For a 18-story high-rise residential project in Hong Kong undertaken by an enterprise, the construction period would take 3 to 5 years using local traditional construction methods. However, with the modular construction solution, it was completed and delivered within one year, shortening the overall construction period by 60% to 70%.
  • High Quality: Factory-based operations transfer most of the processes to the workshop, significantly improving the precision of product quality control. Workers are no longer exposed to the harsh environment of outdoor high-altitude operations.
  • Environmentally Friendly: The on-site 'assembly' stage does not generate large-scale noise or construction waste, highlighting its low-carbon and environmentally friendly advantages, which precisely meet the stringent requirements of the North American market for green construction.
  • Low Cost: In Europe and the United States, the hourly wage of skilled construction workers ranges from RMB 200 to RMB 400, with labor costs accounting for up to 40% of the total project cost. In contrast, a modular construction site requires only about 45 permanent personnel, while a traditional cast-in-place site requires 80 to 120 permanent workers of various trades. The steel waste from standardized CNC cutting in the factory is only 3% to 5%, while the material waste on traditional construction sites ranges from 8% to 12%.
